21.01.2022 Another distinguished and frequent guest / resident of the Riverside Hotel, the great blues slide guitarist Robert Lee McCollum aka Robert Nighthawk who was bor...n on this day in 1909. Nighthawk played with many great artists including the likes of Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker, Earl Hooker, Sonny Boy Williamson, Big Bill Broonzy, Ike Turner, Jimmie Rodgers and Big Joe Williams to name just a few. At the time of his passing in 1967 in Helena Arkansas, Nighthawk had been staying at the Riverside Hotel unfortunately never to return for his well traveled suitcase which remains a keepsake of the hotel.
