Once Upon A Lyra is a virtual worldwide creative aerial competition open to all ages, all genders & all apparatuses as solo, doubles or groups. There are no rules (except that a Lyra must appear in the video at some stage as either a feature prop or an aerial apparatus) and the only thing we are judging on is cr...eativity! 01.01.2022 MISS LYRA NSW POSTPONED It is with all the saddness & regret that we bring you the unfortunate news that we have been forced to postpone Miss Lyra NSW, Little Lyras NSW & Mr Lyra Australia. Already postponed to September 12th, the restrictions surrounding events & function venues are still nowhere near where we would need them to be in order to run a show of such magnitude so soon. At this stage, we are yet to set another date. ... We appreciate this is upsetting & frustrating news, believe us, the decision was not made lightly. As we would like to give our 2020 state heats the best chance possible to go ahead, we have set a July deadline on making a final decision on the remainder of the year. We hope that more information on what to expect in the event industry will have come through by then so we can make a more informed plan. 01.01.2022 It is with an extremely heavy heart that we must announce we are canceling all Miss Lyra & Little Lyras state heats for 2020. With the current situation being as extreme as it is in Victoria and a lot of uncertainty with regards to the future, we unfortunately have been unable to determine any feasible way of carrying on with 2020. We are almost finished with completing our plans for 2021 and will announce dates as soon as we can.
