25.01.2022 Covid you are NOT going to steal my SUNSHINE During these dark times , we have to just keep reaching for the inner strength .. Staying safe and just looking after our mental health . This facemask is to all the amazing mums out there juggling EVERYTHING and now homeschooling ... 25.01.2022 Wow happy anniversary Miss Mia Scrunchies .. what a year it has been from our little school community market to selling so many to raise funds for wildlife/charities and learning about business . We have been very quiet lately and just isolating at home .. with the stop trading @stackspancakebarkaringal just watching Netflix and cooking and playing board games and all sorts of things .. ... Thank you for all the love and support the past year .. what an amazing hobby to little small business for Mia (and mumma ) .. we will sew more soon.. Ready for when we re-open ... 25.01.2022 TWINNING SETS I had a request this week to make a twinning Facemask Set (to match scrunchies) So here is the Mother & Daughter Combo .. Can be sisters Besties ... Once upon a time Miss Mia & I would dress up Same same ... Now she is a tween , she has her own choice in style and taste now . BUT we definitely can TWIN this combo when out on our walks ... Material is the softest ORGANIC cotton from @cloud9fabrics (YES its on DUAL sides the fabric I can add the 3rd layer and seam for wire for glasses wearing . But I personally know that with quality fabric , the weave is different .. You just cant compare this to $5 a metre fabric at spotlight .. we will be sewing these pretties and others this weekend ... (we have to wear a mask in Melbourne or cop a $200 fine .. so why not make it look this good This is not my full time job but a little side hustle for Miss Mia (12years) and i to stop watching Netflix all day I can do a few custom orders .. I mean these are not medical masks and just an extra norm that we have to do .. what would you want ?? triple material as per Vic. guidelines ?? ... Especially with the kids mask ... When Covid came back in March we took much needed time to stop and just take a step back and learned how to home school and just have 10 weeks of us as a family unit... ... Finally we were allowed to open the family restaurant back up , only to have restrictions again... I promise to fit some me time to sew this weekend ... The thing with me making Facemasks is more a hobby and improving my skills for something I love ... ... Im am determined to start making more of my clothes this year ( yes I have done a few items that are wearable) Anyway - I made my first $100 in sales and DONATED the whole $100 .. Miss Mia thought I was CRAZY This cause is close to my heart as Miss Mia does have a heart murmur from birth ... which is monitored ... this amazing charity raises much needed funds for children in my birth country Timor-Leste to have operations to fix their heart defects ... I wouldnt normally tell the world about my donations as Im not out for status of likes . But Ive decided that I will now sell my masks for $15 and donate $5 to this charity x (mane more Anyway - stay safe and yeah to Friday !!
