25.01.2022 I enjoyed the September holiday workshops and now am taking bookings and preparing for the Christmas holidays which will be here before we know it! The Brisbane City Council Libraries have booked me again for their Summer Reading program. Im so honored to have been invited back for each of the three years since I began Miss Mons Music in 2015! I wanted to share with you some lovely collage paintings given to me by some children in Tewantin over the September holidays after they did my Outer Space Adventures workshop.

25.01.2022 Had such a fun day today doing two of my Easter Music Games workshop at Kangaroo Point, here in Brisbane. I dont get to do it very often, but this year, because the school holidays come before Easter, it was possible. The kids had a great time singing; playing music games about hopping Bunnies and an Easter Egg Hunt; doing a clapping game with my modern version of Hot Cross Buns; doing an action song about the Chicken Life Cycle and creating their own choreography in groups; dancing The Bunny Hop - my version for children of the original Bunny Hop Dance. They all got little baby chicks at the end too, which they loved!

23.01.2022 Today I went to a Forest Lake Vacation Care centre. The theme was the popular "Nonsense and Silly Stuff". I did two workshops. The first one was younger ages, 4 - 6 yrs mostly, but there was a clever 3 yr old! The second workshop was ages 7 - 11 yrs. Thought Id show one of the silly posters I use. Thanks to Phil Judd for the artwork!

13.01.2022 Second last day of workshops for these holidays and it was huge! I did three workshops on the Sunshine Coast. Two were at Mooloolaba and one at Meridan Plains (near Caloundra). At Mooloolaba I did "Lets Go To The Beach" for younger ages, 5 - 7yrs and a "Mixed Bag" workshop for the older children, 8 - 11yrs. At Meridan Plains I did my "Easter" Music Games workshop.... One day to go tomorrow!

12.01.2022 In the spirit of the Commonwealth Games next year, I have been asked to run my Music Games workshops at the Logan City Libraries. Dates that were organised may be changed due to a recent notification that traffic will be particularly heavy once the Games start on Wednesday, 4th April 2018. 07.01.2022 Today I did two of my "Mixed Bag" workshops at Manly West for a Vacation Care centre. The groups were divided into younger ages from 5 - 8 yrs and older ages from 9 - 11 yrs. The "Mixed Bag" theme involves doing games and activities from a range of my workshops. Some activities were the same for both groups and others were different to cater to the age levels. Within the workshop I try to offer differing complexities for the same activity to give children a choice that they are comfortable performing. Good fun!!!

07.01.2022 Last day of the holidays and I went to Ormiston to do my Mixed Bag Music Games theme. The children really enjoyed it and the staff were very happy, so that makes me happy!

04.01.2022 We had a great time at Mitchelton Library today - over 30 children in attendance and the place was jumping! Tomorrow Im at Corinda Library from 2.00 - 3.00pm.

04.01.2022 The last day of these Easter holiday workshops was at Bribie Island Library doing my "Fairy Tales Revisited" workshop. Most of the children attending were from a local vacation care centre and were a lovely group of children who had a lot of fun. Afterwards it was nice to relax near the water and reward myself with some fish and chips! A good feeling after such a busy time. Happy Easter!

01.01.2022 Exciting news!! I am going to be extending my music workshops to kindergarten aged children: 3 - 5 years of age!
