23.01.2022 Monday tip of the day: the most important knot that you need to learn to make with crochet is the slip knot. This starts off mostly any of your projects that you make. First of all we make a shape that I like to call the pretzel as shown. Then we insert our crochet hook into the back of the rhs stand. Pulling this up will pull the loops into a slip knot. You can loosen the knot by pulling on one side of the yarn and tighten by pulling on the other side. From here you can begin your project. Easy!

21.01.2022 I got this gorgeous little hooty so I can crochet in the most aaaamazing smell going through my house right now. I may have a new addiction besides yarn.

21.01.2022 Good morning everyone! Happy Friday. Due to medical conditions, I've needed to take a few days off from doing any gifts. I will resume asap and get as much as I can done from the couch, but this will be slow and so any orders that were placed may take a little longer than expected. I apologise if this inconveniences anyone and let me know if you have any issues. Thanks again and enjoy your weekend! :) ~ Miss Munro

21.01.2022 Today I got to play around with creating fluffy muzzles for my bears. I struggled to find furry fabric to just cut so decided to get this "fairy floss yarn" and try to crochet my own. Well... It was like crocheting blindfolded! I couldn't see the stitches and the end looked so fuzzy but with a bit of a trim, I think its coming up pretty good. What are your thoughts? :)

20.01.2022 Good morning! I have come across these gorgeous crochet teething necklaces. I will be ordering the beads next week to get started on these. (they don't have to be just for teething, they can just be a gorgeous accessory for you to wear) I will be pricing them at $30 (pick up price or $9.95 extra for postage). These will include all natural eco beads, natural cotton yarn and a eco wooden pacifier clasp. If you are interested please let me know so I know how many to order. :) ~ Miss Munro

19.01.2022 Just in time for civil war tomorrow, I'm so excited to go see it that I made this little iron man for my partner. He's going to have a little blue friend tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled!

18.01.2022 Belated flashback Friday! So I started crocheting in late January, which means I've been doing this hobby for 4 months now! I bought the star wars crochet kit from work thinking it was going to be easy and boy was I wrong! The abbreviations confused me and I was ready to return it but thought I'd give it a go instead. After watching YouTube tutorials on how to understand the abbreviations, the yoda on the right was the first piece I had ever done, he was my perfect disaster piece! I gave him a go last night to see how far I'd come and this was the results. ~ Miss Munro

17.01.2022 Just received my baby friendly eco wood beads and pacifier clip for the teething necklaces. How exciting! Can't wait to get started on them this week. ~ Miss Munro

14.01.2022 Happy Monday everyone! Today I made a beanie for a little one. My learning today was all about mathematics, learning the correct calculations for circumference sizes. What a morning!

14.01.2022 So on Monday I put up examples of how to create a slip knot which is the most common used knot to start a crochet piece. This tip today is about creating a magic circle! The magic circle is used in amigurumi (plush dolls) as it makes the hole completely sealed and begins creating your doll from the top of the head downwards. 1. Wrap your yarn twice around 2 fingers and hold the tail in place at the bottom with the other piece of your yarn as shown. 2. Put your hook under th...e 2 wrapped pieces and grab your yarn to pull through the loops. 3. Grab your yarn again and pull through the small loop you just made to create the slip knot. 4. Take your fingers out and you have a circle with a slipknot at the top. This is your magic circle. You can now single crochet your amount needed up the magic circle before pulling one of the loops that tightens the circle into a small round piece. This is the crown of the head and where you begin your project. Practice makes perfect! See more

07.01.2022 Happy Friday the 13th everyone! As a huge horror movie fanatic, today is my most favourite time(s) of the year! Gives a great excuse to watch horror movies and munch on popcorn. enjoy your weekend all!

06.01.2022 I just received this photo of my beanie I made on this gorgeous little baby from Kate. A little big at the moment but omgosh how adorable! this is why I handmake these gifts, because seeing this type of thing makes me so happy.

06.01.2022 Here is one of the teething necklaces I've been playing around with. Thought I'd put up a status to show how you can use these. These are $30 You can wear them in two different ways as shown, you can hook the other side of the cord and wear it as a necklace for your baby to chew on or you can attach the pacifier clasp to the shirt of your baby and attach their pacifier to the other end. (I don't have an actual pacifier to show as I'm not blessed with a baby). You can use different colours and patterns, although keeping in mind this is made using pure cotton and the different shades are limited. happy Thursday! ~ Miss Munro
