24.01.2022 I love picking flowers from the garden and these are the last for the season #dahlia#nature#pink
24.01.2022 Inspiration comes from so many places, vintage jewellery and buttons, plastic flowers and paper bags. I find them all wonderful.
24.01.2022 Flowers are a constant contact point #necklace#paper#pink#spiky
23.01.2022 It is always so much fun when I start combining colours and textures for a new necklace or brooch. Thinking about collecting new materials is always on my mind.
23.01.2022 To soothe mental health as well as creative wellbeing I would always recommend the company of flowers. Buy them for others and yourself, it's the best indulgence.
21.01.2022 Starting a new brooch for a friend. Now that summer is over I can think about rich, warm, felt materials again.

15.01.2022 There's a beautiful new necklace in my Etsy shop. A gorgeous vintage button nestles beside a mother of pearl shirt stud and a round, translucent resin bead. As a balance to the round weight of the bead and buttons there is a soft frill of sewing paper tissue. Perfect for wearing to all the fun things.
15.01.2022 Ive just added some new things in my shop, please consider having a look with Mother's Day coming up or share if you think someone might be interested.
14.01.2022 Recently I went to the 'Nude' exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW, which I didn't think much of, but I passed by a work by Rosalie Gascoigne 'Metropolis' an assembled grid of overlapping layers evoking the chaos of a city. Rosalie came to the art school I was attending, ages ago to give a talk, it was fabulous, her work is fabulous and I count her as one of my greatest and enduring inspirations
11.01.2022 Beautiful stars, looking to the sky
10.01.2022 A beautiful new necklace finished last week, wrapped with a bow and delivered. I'm experimenting with felt blocks for additional texture and contrast.
07.01.2022 i have had a message that some of the images i've been using are taking too long to download. is anyone else having this problem?
06.01.2022 My Pinterest page is where I collect all sorts of wonders. These images are from a fabulous Japanese artist, Mariko Kusumoto and I just love her brooches, necklaces and rings. Her fibre works draw on the art of origami, by using great skill and craftsmanship she creates gentle, translucent wonderfulness. Visit my Pinterest brooch board to see more of her lovely work.
02.01.2022 Part of an installation at Sturt Gallery recently of B. Jane Cowie #luminous#gold#gorgeousoutofnothing
02.01.2022 Materials for what I make come for all sorts of places; recycled packaging, treasures from the op-shop or the accumulation of years collecting colour and texture. One source though is completely unexpected. One of my paper brooches, made from chocolate wrappers, was given as a gift to a woman in Canberra and I now receive parcels of sweet wrappers in the mail from this lovely woman. Thanks Chris for the latest collection.
