23.01.2022 Know Your Style!! Phase Three of Deep Clean your Closet to Deep Clean your life. What do you love to wear?? What outfits do you feel your absolute best in? Is there a certain look you would love to try?... My theory is you have to pull on pants/skirt or a dress/top anyway - it may as well look amazing together!! Once you find a style you love we can curate your wardrobe I find my style has definitely evolved over time and circumstance. I definitely dressed differently when I had young children as opposed to working in the corporate world. However practical style can still look amazing too and feel fantastic My style is a mixture of tailored corporate looks for work and fun skirts and dresses for casual. I love mixing some of my cropped tailored jackets with my flowy dresses for a slightly dressier casual look. Plus I dont ever wear pants! I dont even own a pair of jeans! Whats your style?? 23.01.2022 Day 27 #kindjuly My kids came back from their dads house today and tonight I am stopping the busy and just hanging out with them. Their current passion is writing with feather quills dipped into an old school ink pot - pretty sure it came from Harry Potter!! 22.01.2022 Deep Clean Your Closet to Deep Clean Your Life! If you dont have a whole day set aside, sort in chunks per style i.e. try all your tops at once. That way you can easily tell which ones you love more than the others! Only keep items you LOVE!... Otherwise there is no space to create from. If you are unsure, set it to the side and check again at the end. Another tip, season dependant, is to immediately wear the item you are unsure of for a day - you will know by the end if its a keeper! 20.01.2022 Deep clean your closet to deep clean your life!! In August we are going DEEP!! The final month of winter feels like the perfect time to get rid of all the dead wood - both in our closets and in our lives! It's not a case of just ripping out all the clothes and getting stuck into it - although we will be doing that! However firstly we are going to look into a little bit of self acceptance. Loving ourselves and our bodies exactly as they are right now. Removing the self... criticism over COVID kilos and working on this cleanse from a place of love. Secondly we are going to identify what body shape you are and what style you like AND actually suits you! My ex husband always wanted me to wear the black skinny leg hipster jeans look - an absolute disaster for a pear shape! It wasn't until I showed him in a change room how they looked and pointed out why it didn't suit me that he finally dropped it! Then we will rip it all out and attack!!!! I am super excited for this - it feels so amazing to have everything organised and sorted. Plus to go to your wardrobe and get dressed in an amazing outfit in 5 minutes - oh la la! I suggest you pull it out by style - so try on all your dresses one after the other so that way you can tell which ones you love the absolute most! Then pants, then tops, then skirts. If you need to check if an outfit works then try both the items together or add a belt or jacket. A bit of Marie Kondo here - only keep items that bring you joy and make you feel amazing! If its just ok then give it away!!!... Also just because an item fits, doesnt mean you should keep it! You have to feel amazing when youre wearing it. If we keep our closets jammed with items we dont love wearing, we crowd the items we do love plus there is no space for new amazing pieces to come into your life. This also goes for other areas of your life too lets truely clear out the junk, the bland, the toxic, the energy vamps - anything that does not contribute to you feeling amazing. Dont be afraid youll have nothing left - from that place of space creation - the new and amazing has room to enter your life!!! Note - youll need a good chunk of time to complete this section. If you only have smaller pieces of time just do sections of a style at a time. So remember, if you dont love it - it goes!! Three/four piles - sell, giveaway, mending and bin! Please throw out any clothes with untreatable stains, faded blacks, unrepairable holes! We have been brought up in a society that has consistently sent us messages our bodies are flawed and we should be constantly striving to achieve the look of models used by companies in marketing campaigns to sell us products - WRONG!! Plus most of the models are intensely photoshopped!!!... The girl with the long thin legs you wished you had is probably envious of your gorgeous defined waist or girls with big boobs want small boobs and girls with small boobs want bigger boobs and so on etc etc. But let me tell you - the grass is definitely not greener on the other side!! Once we go through the process of finding your ultimate style for your shape, you will see how beautiful your body is - exactly as it is now! Im sure your body has brought you places you wouldnt trade for the world! Stretch marks for becoming a woman or having a baby - Ill take them again and again and wear them as a proud badge of where Ive been and who Ive become!
