But I have come to a time in life where there is much more to see and do , instead of the constant work Day after day that raising these beautiful animals has brought me . 11.01.2022 Yesterday’s heat definitely took its toll here . I had so many young chicks hatching in the little room that is fully air conditioned and walls fully insulated. The chicks were nearly due to take out of the hatches and put into brooder as per usual . But upon opening up the little shed I noticed that it was extremely hot in there and both alarms on the incubators were sounding off . A quick look at inside thermometer and it was reading 46 degrees. ... I noticed the air con was only blowing hot air . Apparently a safety feature to stop them overheating the unit . Totally gutted to find so many chicks dead . Needless to say , I am feeling totally gutted. Anyway, life goes on and it just goes to show that it doesn’t matter how well you may be set up but nature will beat you at times . Hope you all have a great week See more

06.01.2022 Hi all I have been getting lots of enquires regarding purchasing poultry,chicks and fertile eggs especially in the last few months or so . For those of you you that didn’t know? I stopped breeding poultry a couple of years ago and sold the property. I have since bought a larger property west of the mid north coast but won’t be breeding poultry at the moment . Over the last few months I have sold off almost half of my breeding stock and will probably sell a few more . I just don’t have time to sit back a little when there is so much to do around here . Over the next few weeks or until I have sold all of the young pullets that I have , I will be having massive price reduction sales of all pullets.
