22.01.2022 Brilliant News!! City of Playford has recently been advised that we were successful with 2 applications in the State Govt 20/21 Infrastructure Project Grants. What does this mean for us? ... $894, 436 - towards constructing 3 new unisex change rooms at Central District Football Club at X Convenience Oval AND installing light towers at Playford International College This will help CDFC female teams to have proper facilities. $400,000 - installing 17 light towers with 250 lux LED sports floodlighting at Playford Sports Precinct, Ridley Reserve West, Elizabeth. I applaud our staff for their hard work in pursuing and being successful with these (and other grants). This is great news for Playford and many more to come!

20.01.2022 GOTCHA Illegal dumper caught red-handed With the vital assistance of SAPOL, an illegal dumper was caught in late April on Black Top Road and issued a fine of $1...,000 plus the cost of the clean-up equipment. SAPOL were out patrolling for fire bugs in high-risk bushfire areas for Operation Nomad, but instead came across a litter bug in scrub off Black Top Road. Police Officers called our Regulatory Services Officers who attended the scene, issued the fine and organised the clean-up crew. We can't go into detail about the person who was caught, but we can tell you they were not from Playford. When asked WHY they were dumping instead of using a hard waste collection in their own council area, they told our Officer they were shifting house today and just needed to get rid of it. That's a costly move. Find out about two free hard waste collections per financial year here https://fal.cn/3fgoV #dontbeadumper

08.01.2022 Argana Park. Many of us have played here, watched our favourite teams win here, supported our kids and family members in their sporting endeavours here. On Thursday 24th June, at 5pm, we have an upcoming Argana Park Masterplan Workshop where we highly encourage club representatives to come down and engage with Councillors and Playford Council Administration to address the needs of each club. This includes parking concerns, the need for additional facilities for the growth of... womens sports and upgrades to current facilities. The workshop is for club representatives nominated by each club, Elected Members, Council staff and the consultant team only. This the first in a series of engagements on the development of a masterplan and the broader community and club members will be invited to provide feedback on the draft plan once it’s developed. If you as a representative of your club, would like to be involved, please RSVP to [email protected] before 11th June. As a player at Argana for over 30 years.., I look forward to working with all clubs to find solutions. 05.01.2022 Seven community organisations and clubs have shared in up to $27,000 of Community Development and Events Grants thanks to the City of Playford.
