22.01.2022 Happy New Year to all. As we start 2019, we thought we would have a little reflection on the 2nd half of 2018 here at Mitch Holsteins. Our cover girl Mitch Aftershock Irene EX 90 1E was named Reserve Senior Champion of VWF 2018. Her oldest Daughter Mitch Guthrie A Irene now VG 87 2nd calf, was named Intermediate Cow and Cow of the Year for the North West Sub Branch (our Local area). She has a nice King Doc daughter born this spring.... Mitch Solomon Kassie VG 85 1st Lact. was 3rd Jnr 2 at VWF 2018, 2nd Snr 2 North West OFC. Mitch Crushed Berri was crowned Reserve All Australian Calf 2018, she calves this autumn and her Solomon sister will be bred both from Mitch Hero Berri Imp ET VG 89 x Shottle X Barbie. Mitch Chipper Beauty RED Imp ET now VG 88 3rd calf at 4 yr old. Became our first ever Senior Champion at an All Australian Show at Echuca Nov 2018. Had a Diamondback heifer calf this spring (Black!) and has just been confirmed in calf for AUG 19 to Altitude RED Sexed! Beauty is heading to IDW 2019. Beauty completed a very exciting day for us at Echuca show, while not huge numbers, we were very proud to win all 3 broad ribbons for the show! Prior to beauty being sashed Snr Champ, Mitch Mascalese Belle GP 82 1st calf, was Intermediate Champion. She calved at the end of FEB 18 with a Solomon heifer, and is due again in MAR 19 to Undenied. We also have a nice OCT 18 Chill sister to mascalese Belle. Mitch Solomon Irene ET x Aftershock Irene, was awarded Junior Champion. Both her and her Chill sister will be bred this year. During Dec the classifiers visited with some nice results, headlined by Mitch Outside Toni EX 90 3E,(head down shot in slide show) Toni has had 8 calves and received a Silver STP award along with her 3rd E. Other nice results on the day, Mitch Sabathia Lyre VG 87 2nd calf, has a real nice Chill daughter in the spring drop. Mitch Dorcy Papaya VG 87 2nd calf. We scored approx 40 cows & 30 heifers for the day and achieved 5 new Excellent cows, 1 raised Ex, 21 new VG's and 11 raised in the VG's. 13.01.2022 We Offer Our Best, on the 24th January in the World Wide Sires Evolution Sale 2018 at International Dairy Week Lot 15 is Mitch Solomon G Irene. She is an Augus...t born Solomon daughter of Mitch Guthrie A Irene GP 84 (1st Class fresh Jnr 2) who in turn is the daughter of our poster girl Mitch Aftershock Irene VG 87, Intermediate Champion IDW 2017. In the past 2 years Aftershock Irene has done things we only ever dreamed about! now we are offering her only granddaughter from her only daughter. Guthrie A Irene is a favorite here at Mitch also and we consider her in the best 2yr olds we have milked here, Guthrie A Irene has been shown once at Echuca AA show in November, winning the Jnr 2 class and going onto be Reserve intermediate Champion and was 5th Jnr 2 in the North West OFC 2017. She has also been confirmed in calf to recalve as a jnr 3 in 2018. And in following advice given to me from wise minds in this industry, if you sell something sell your best one! 03.01.2022 NEW EXCELLENT @ MITCH Mitch Aftershock Irene fresh on her third calf and is now EX 90 with an EX 95 Udder! Irene continues to tick all the boxes for us here, her natural calf born in March was an awesome CHILL heifer, Mitch Chilled Irene, and an ET daughter arrived in Jan 18, Mitch Solomon Irene. These go along with Irene's oldest daughter Mitch Guthrie A Irene, who is confirmed pregnant to sexed Kingdoc due AUG 18 as a JNR 3 yr old. Exciting times as the Irene clan grow!!

02.01.2022 Soooo, its been awhile since we've got around to posting anything!! Been a very busy Autumn period, calving 115 cows since the start of March, 1 to go, 50+ heifers calves the result! Cropping program almost finished, and sowing into terrific moisture which is enjoyable!! We hope everybody is coping Ok in the crazy world we are currently living in!!... We have some photo's to share from our nice results from IDW back in January. Thanks to Brad Cullen for his awesome work as always. Our leading lady Mitch Aftershock Irene EX 91, 5th 6yr old, behind the Champion & Reserve Champ in a very strong class. And combined with her Daughter Mitch Guthrie A Irene to be 2nd in the Dam & Daughter class. Aftershock Irene is currently in a flush program with Unix. 2 daughters have just freshened, a Solomon and a Chill, that look good. Mitch Chipper Beauty Red Imp ET, EX 90, 2 photos. 7th overall 5 yr old, 1st Red & White. Best udder Red & White, and Reserve Senior Champion Red & White. Beauty continues to tick all the boxes, confirmed back in calf to calve for the 5th time in August! We had great pleasure to receive news that her Solomon daughter we sold at IDW in 2018 has calved in, scored VG 86 as a Jnr 2 for Darien & Alex Mathews, and they love her! This one is very special to us, as the Olive family is one i added under the appendix system from the original cows we started with from my parents and Grandparents.
