25.01.2022 This week saw the return to school for Grade 3 to 6 students, and what a happy week it has been! We saw many smiling faces as students were finally reunited with their classmates and teachers after the time apart. 25.01.2022 On Friday, our 2021 Prep Students enjoyed our third Virtual Storytime session with Miss Koth and Mrs Wood as part of our Prep Transition Program. We shook things up this week with Matt Cosgrove's 'Alpacas with Maracas'. Alongside a song and our story, we had great fun making our own musical instruments using items we might find at home.

24.01.2022 Today marked the return to school for our Prep to Grade 2 students following the Remote Learning period, and what a happy day it was! Sunshine, smiles, and plenty of laughter as we met up with classmates after our time apart.

15.01.2022 Last week, as part of Wellness Wednesday, our Grade 1/2 students took part in a range of activities surrounding well-being. We enjoyed making gratitude jars, friendship bracelets, and icing biscuits, each activity putting a smile on our faces. For more photos, make sure you read our last newsletter.
14.01.2022 As the school year edges towards its end, we are busily preparing for 2021. Part of our preparations include Transition Sessions for all of our current Prep to Grade 5 mainstream students. Yesterday, in our second round of Transition for the year, students split off into randomly selected groups for a 45 minute session enabling them experience a taste of 2021. These sessions help support our students to smoothly and confidently move into the next grade level. Judging by the smiles we have been seeing, 2021 is bound to be a success!
13.01.2022 Friday is here, and our newsletter Mitchat marks the end of our week. This Friday however, is a little special as it marks the last day of the remote learning period. We are very excited that following this long weekend, on Tuesday we will be welcoming back to school our Grade 3 to 6 students. 11.01.2022 Our first Virtual Storytime session last Friday was so much fun! Our 2021 Prep students enjoyed a reading of 'What Makes a Rainbow' and then made their very own rainbow at home - Miss Holzer and Mrs Wood joined in too of course! 11.01.2022 On Friday, our 2021 Prep Students enjoyed yet another Virtual Storytime session as part of our Prep Transition Program. We had great fun singing and dancing, and of course reading 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'. Together with Mrs Norman and Miss Bates, we 'swishy-swashied', 'splash-sploshed', 'sequelch-squerched', 'stumble-tripped', 'hooo-woooed', and 'tip-toed' through the story together - what a beautiful day! You may have even noticed a sneak peak of our new 'Super Prep' Tr...ansition T-shirts being proudly worn by some excited Mitcham Primary School teddies.
