13.01.2022 As our response to the bushfires continues, this week we announced that we’ve entered a new initiative with the NSW Government (Resilience NSW) & Minderoo Found...ation to provide temporary housing to bushfire affected families. The temporary housing ‘pods’ feature built-in electricity, water & sewer systems, allowing families to stay on their properties whilst they rebuild their homes, and lives, after the fires. We are providing ongoing support for thousands including the residents of 2,475 houses destroyed. We know those who lost their homes will face a particularly hard road to recovery and that having the stability of a Recovery Pod will make the journey more manageable, says The Salvation Army’s Secretary for Mission, Lieutenant Colonel Lyn Edge. If you or someone you know were impacted by the 2019-2020 bushfires, you can continue to call us on 1300 662 217 or email [email protected] You can see images of one of the pods below To learn more, go to: http://ow.ly/m0SV50Ahf4Y

05.01.2022 Horseracing is elitist and sexist, it’s cruel to horses, and it promotes gambling. Aussie Christians get up in arms if their gender is removed from their driver...s license or if their food has a halal certification, but they blithely overlook the damage done by this 'industry' and the national obsession with the Melbourne Cup. Watch the video at horseracingkills.com (if you dare it’s gruesome) and say #NupToTheCup See more
