24.01.2022 No coverage of Round 1 of the Australian Swift Racing Series this week. SBS made a mistake and are believed to be airing races 2 & 3 from Mallala Motor Sport Park next Sunday on Speedweek at 2pm. Watch this space for confirmation!

24.01.2022 Head over to the Targa website and take a look at the Spectator Guide for next week's Targa Adelaide. Some great viewing throughout the event! Upper Sturt Road on Friday would be my tip to see some great action and snap a few good shots. The Scenic Hotel on Saturday at Norton Summit is always a popular favourite too! http://targa.com.au/tc/

23.01.2022 A big thanks again to Joe Cool's Air Conditioning, Lend Rep Finance and AA Automotive for their support at the 2013 Targa Adelaide.

23.01.2022 Unfortunately I won't be on the grid for Round 2 of the Australian Swift Racing Series at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuitand Prix Circuit due to budget restraints. Good luck to all the guys competing there this weekend, hopefully I'll be back out in a few rounds time for some more great racing!

20.01.2022 A shame to see such a legend retiring. He's finished at the top of his career and what a run it has been, 3 times LeMans 24 hour winner, you will be missed, big personal hero of mine!

20.01.2022 Unfortunately racing has been a bit quiet this year with budget restrictions (motorsport 101) but I'm very pleased to announce I will be appearing on the Revheads Radio Show this Monday (May 12th) from 6pm on Wow FM 100.5. Thanks to Ulx110 Custom Blend Oil for this very cool opportunity where I'll be talking with David Green about my racing, SA hillclimbing and tarmac rallying. Tune in to 100.5 at 6pm or head to the Wow FM website to stream live. http://wowfm.org

20.01.2022 Nice article in yesterday's Adelaide Hill's Courier. Matt Woods and I were consistently quicker on Friday than some of the Showroom cars in the main field and were fastest 2WD in Rookie Modern in two of the day's Targa stages!

17.01.2022 Great article in today's Adelaide Hills Courier about my Targa debut next week. The event kicks off with the InterContinental Targa Night Stage on Wednesday 21st August, grab your tickets here: http://tickets.oztix.com.au/

16.01.2022 Headed out to the retrogarage track day at Mallala Motor Sport Park on Wednesday in the S14 tarmac rally car. Started to set some great lap times as the track warmed up and the car warmed up before an unfortunate hole in the radiator cut the day short. Still a great day with great people and a huge thanks to Any Given Reason for taking some awesome shots on the day. Check out Andrew's site, anygivenreason.com for some very cool automotive blog posts and photos!

15.01.2022 What awesome news for SA motorsport lovers, about time. Can't wait to see the finished product!

13.01.2022 Lunch today with good mate and major sponsor, Richard from Joe Cool's Air Conditioning. Thanks for the drive in the Audi R8 V10, awesome experience, what a machine!

12.01.2022 Headed over to Upper Sturt Primary School last week to promote the Targa In Schools Initiative. Taught the youngsters all about road safety and that competing in a tarmac rally means we are competing in a controlled environment with the biggest regard for safety possible! The kids loved trying on all the race gear and having a sit in the car.

11.01.2022 This beast would be an absolute handful! Wouldn't mind a steer ;)

11.01.2022 In a strange twist today I was fortunate enough to Co-Drive with Dad on the final stage of the day, Ironbank, after Dad's regular co-driver, Adam Tillett was forced to bow out early with severe dehydration. Wishing Adam all the best for a speedy recovery before the final 4 stages tomorrow morning. It was very cool to be in the car with Dad, we secured a 3rd overall on stage, stay tuned for the first ever Lukasz/Lukasz in car footage from a Targa stage!

11.01.2022 A huge thanks to everyone who came out to support Matt and I at tonights InterContinental Targa Nigh Stage. Had an absolute ball, can't wait to get back into it tomorrow in SS1 Upper Hermitage.

10.01.2022 Media Release - Lukasz prepares for Targa debut Crafers teenager, Mitchell Lukasz, has all but confirmed plans to compete in the inaugural 2013 Rookie Targa Adelaide. After having spent most of the 2013 season on the side lines due to budget restrictions, Lukasz is again proud to announce Joe Cools Air Conditioning as the teams major sponsor for the event. The confident teenager will pair with experienced tarmac rally co-driver and Adelaide local Matthew Woods. Woods (35)... is a 10 year veteran as a motor sport competitor whose career highlights includes Historic Class Winner in the 2004 SARC, 2nd outright in the 2006 Classic Adelaide and 2nd in Contemporary Classic in the 2011 Suplaoc Classic Targa Adelaide. Lukasz will be leasing a car from Adelaide MG specialists AA Automotive who have been busy adapting a track inspired MGF for the challenging tarmac course. Im fortunate to have the support of a passionate, local motorsport outfit like AA Automotive who have been fantastic in adapting a track car for the testing tarmac conditions, says Lukasz. This years Targa Adelaide will feature a technical course for competitors which also is more accessible to spectators than ever before. The course this year is very tight and twisting, certainly the style of roads that will suit the nimble MG. Its a fantastic lay out for spectators too as all the stages are within a 35km radius of the Adelaide CBD in addition to the massively popular night stage held at the Wayville Showgrounds on Wednesday August 21st, Lukasz explains. Lukasz and Woods are anticipating a wet Targa Adelaide as is the norm for August in South Australia. The teenager is upbeat about a positive result whilst learning a great deal from co-driver Woods, whose experience will be invaluable throughout the event. The Targa Adelaide commences on August 21st with the InterContinental Targa Adelaide Night Stage held at the Wayville showgrounds before concluding with a street party along the Norwood Parade on Sunday August 25th. For ticketing information regarding the InterContinental Targa Adelaide Night Stage visit, http://tickets.oztix.com.au/ #Targa #Adelaide #Rookie #AAAutomotive #MGF #MatthewWoods

10.01.2022 TV Alert! Targa Adelaide on 7mate at 12pm next Sunday (8/9/13)

10.01.2022 Tune in to Wow FM 100.5 tonight at 6pm (CST) to hear my interview on the Revheads Show. Big announcement to be made for my racing later this year! The show can also be streamed live from http://wowfm.org/. Thanks again to Ulx110 Custom Blend Oil for the call up.

09.01.2022 After two days of competition in the Rookie Rallye Targa Adelaide Matthew Woods and I have finished 4th in the Rookie Modern category (pending a derived time after stopping for a rolled car). Very testing, torrential conditions were a steep learning curve over both days and troubles with the motor yesterday meant we lost at least a minute with the gap to the third by the end of today less than that. Pretty happy with my rally debut given the conditions and the very tough competition we were up against, definately been bitten by the rally bug, keen to get out again soon!

07.01.2022 Great value and plenty of track time, share around!

06.01.2022 If you've got an hour to spare, you have to watch this! Even if you're not a motor sport fan it's worth it, such an interesting look into the life of my favourite F1 driver and one of the best 500cc champions ever!

04.01.2022 Media Release - Lukasz makes promising Swift Series debut 19 year old Crafers resident, Mitchell Lukasz, made his national circuit racing debut at the weekend in the Australian Swift Racing Series at Mallala Motor Sport Park. The youngest and most inexperienced competitor in the field, Lukasz presented consistency and pace throughout the weekend, finishing 7th in all three races. I was hoping to be slightly higher up the field on debut, but Im content with 7th place across ...three races which were run in very trying conditions, said Lukasz. Lukaszs weekend started strongly during Friday practice where he spent time learning the car and the track. With little circuit experience, Lukasz was eager to remain on track as much as possible in every session to understand the Swifts behaviour and learn the testing Mallala layout. Qualifying on Saturday afternoon did not go according to plan for the young racer with a spin on the first lap resulting in damage to a wheel and subsequently early retirement from the session. Starting from 9th for his first ever race, Lukasz was excited about the opportunity to be racing at night under lights at the Mallala circuit. Race one was a fantastic learning curve for Lukasz who experienced a good start and healthy battle with competitor Scott Gore. Race two on Sunday in wet conditions proved straight forward for the debutant who made a poor start and worked his way back through the field to again clinch 7th position. The final race on Sunday, conducted in torrential conditions, saw Lukasz gain his best start of the weekend not dropping any places within the first lap. By far the toughest race of the weekend, Lukasz again went on to achieve a 7th position with rain battering the circuit in the closing stages of the race. Overall it was very productive weekend for me. I learnt a great deal about race craft and the set up of the Swift. With more seat time in 2013, Im hopeful of a more competitive showing in my next event, Lukasz added. Mitchell is highly appreciative to sponsors IMS Event Medical, Joe Cools Air Conditioning, Southside Suzuki, Taplin Real Estate, Lend Rep Finance and The Aldgate Pump Hotel. Without the support of these wonderful, local Adelaide businesses, my weekend wouldnt have been possible. Hopefully my consistent showing on debut will attract support for the rest of the season as I learn and become more competitive in 2013, Lukasz concluded. Round 1 of the Hi-Tec Oils Australian Swift Racing Series will air on SBS Speedweek and Fox Speed in the coming weeks.

01.01.2022 As promised, first ever Lukasz/Lukasz combination for a Targa Stage with Dad driving and I navigating. 2013 Targa Adelaide TS24 Ironbank, 3rd outright Early Modern.
