24.01.2022 The members of the Mitchell Shire Concert Band thoroughly enjoyed taking music into the community on Sunday. Our learner group made their debut, whilst the seniors band members had their first opportunity to perform to an audience (outside of our support of Kilmore RSL on Anzac Day) since COVID-19 struck. The rotunda in Goulburn Park was a great location with lovely autumn sunshine and an audience enthusiastic with their applause. Keep a look out, as we will be popping up as the year progresses (if the weather is clear), at other rotundas across the Mitchell Shire.
07.01.2022 The Mitchell Shire Concert Band has suspended all activities including rehearsals, performances, and bingo fundraising until further notice, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will let you know as soon as we are able to resume any of our activities. Stay well and look after yourself and others.
06.01.2022 The Band is back together. The Mitchell Shire Concert Band (MSCB) will be performing in the Goulburn Park Rotunda, Seymour at 2:30 pm on Sunday 02 May 21. This will be our first concert since the great COVID Lockdown of 2020. The concert will go for approximately just over an hour, and is free to all members of our community. However donations are always welcome. Last year the MSCB commenced a new learner program and due to the lockdown, the majority of the learning was c...onducted via zoom, which was an amazing feat. This concert will showcase the learners group and it will be their first time performing in public. So please bring the family and some seats or a blanket and enjoy an hour or so of fine music commencing at 2:30 pm Sunday 02 May 21. The Band is always looking for new members, so please approach one of the band members on the day if you are interested in joining or learning a new instrument. Please share this amongst your friends; we are looking forward to seeing you at the rotunda.
05.01.2022 At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them Members of the Mitchell Shire Concert Band joined in this morning playing the last post as we stood in our driveways remembering the soldiers who gave their lives and the men and women who are currently serving or who have served this country. Lest we forget
