23.01.2022 At Mitchell we are focused on extending our knowledge to the water savers of the future by talking to the children about water, where it comes from and the life it breathes into nature. We teach them ways to conserve and recycle water in the home. Today the children collected the rain in buckets to water the plants in the centre! #waterwise

Im really passionate about the importance of early learning in a childs development and love being a facilitator of their growth and learning. Building strong relationships with each individual child and creating a sense of belonging is my favourite part of being an educator! 15.01.2022 MEET THE TEAM!!! Hello my name is Scott, Im in the kitchen at Mitchell Early Learning centre. Ive been a chef since 2006, in everything from cafes, pubs to hatted fine dining. ... I really like the interaction and fun I get to have with the children, answering their questions, and having conversations over the counter. Last month we had our latest menu evaluated we received a $500 gift card and some kitchen supplies for meeting all dietary and nutrition recommendations and requirements. I love creating nutritious & fun food for the children each day!

09.01.2022 Crocodile Encounters!!! The Bluegums and the Possums got to experience something very special this week, we had a visit from Crocodile Encounters! We learnt about different reptiles and what they like to eat and where they may live. The children got the chance to pat the reptiles and they learnt that these animals in the show are friendly but in the wild we are to leave these animals alone and just watch them.... Mitchell Early Learning Centre would like to say thankyou to Crocodile Encounters for a very enjoyable and informative show!

03.01.2022 MEET THE TEAM! Hi Im Abby, I work in the cuddles room. I love working with children because its amazing to watch them grow and change through play. To be able to nurture young children is very special - and I feel privlaged to be apart of the Mitchell team.

02.01.2022 The bluegums displayed an interest in camping outside and campfires. For group time Maddy L thought it would be a good idea to collect sticks to make a pretend campfire inside. We spoke about some fire rules and what we can do when camping. We then turned the mat into a campground with fishing and cooking, a tent and campfire, there was even marshmallows! For their individual table experience they created their own mini camp ground!
