18.01.2022 Meet Our Team: Q&A Jayson Mitchell / Co-owner, Site Manager, Carpenter. Q: What was the reason for pursuing a career in the building/construction industry? ... Jay: Ive always had a passion and desire to create things. For me the most enjoyable part of my job would be watching a project come to life from the initial design ideas on paper, to the construction phase. I take so much pride in that end result, and happiness from a client on completion. Q. Why did you start Mitchell Homes? Jay: From a young age, Ive always been ambitious and motivated to own a business. I started working in the industry as a young carpentry apprentice and my passion and career grew from there. Q: What are your interests outside of work? Jay: Im currently studying building design, it fills up a lot of my spare time! But has been a great experience so far. When Im not studying Im pretty chilled out - i like catching up with friends & family, relaxing really. Q: whats in store for Mitchell homes for say, the next few years? Jay: we have a stack of work ! really exciting projects and dream homes for clients we are progressing on or starting soon.
