17.01.2022 During Year 8, 9, 10 Assembly Periods on Wednesday students were provided with an opportunity to reflect on last years schooling - their academic results, behaviours, attitudes and school involvement, and to set goals for the coming year. It has been a wonderful opportunity for students and reading their responses has proved to be an eye opener. So many insightful students who have really thought about what they are excited about this year and what some of their worries and concerns are. Our Year Advisers, Deputies and wellbeing team are really looking forward to meeting with all students individually to discuss how to help make these goals a reality. What a great start to this school year.

14.01.2022 Tournament of Minds was very different this year because of COVID restrictions. Instead of performing their challenge solutions in front of an audience and panel of judges, the teams had to upload a video of their solution performances. Our five teams worked tirelessly for six weeks brain storming, script writing, prop making, rehearsing, filming and editing their challenge solutions. As always, the students involved spent hours during lunch, after school and even at school o...n weekends to perfect their videos. They made new friendships across different grades and learned new skills. Ms Bell and Mrs Mahony were so proud of the efforts and final products of each of our five teams! We are excited to announce that two of our teams achieved a Merit Award (this is the COVID equivalent of First Place) and one other team was awarded Tournament Honours. Our Merit recipients are: STEM: Tuan Ngoc Diep; Sam Dryden; Aidan Faller; Nathan Fereig; Shengtao He; Parthiban Maheswaran; Sean Nebres LANGUAGE LITERATURE: Zaynab Ata; Prem Desi; Diyon Fonseka; Lana Mulukin; Cindy Myathit; Sophie Myathit; Angus Stopp Our Tournament Honours recipients are: ARTS: Phoebe Deliso; Teodora Mitrovic; Kaia Novati Robinson; Ashika Perera; Shruthi Satheeskumar; Emerald Tint; Princess Torralba Congratulations to everyone who participated and thank you for your efforts and for being such wonderful ambassadors for our school.
