A number of local Brigades will be joining others across the state and sounding their station or truck sirens four times as a mark of respect to the four Victorian Police Officers who tragically lost their lives last week. https://bit.ly/2KKp1gC

13.01.2022 Many people are spending more time at home due to the current circumstances of COVID-19 and may be running gas heaters longer. This could increase the risk of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning if domestic gas heaters are not regularly maintained, or operated without adequate ventilation (fresh air). Carbon monoxide is an odourless, colourless gas that may cause symptoms including tiredness, shortness of breath, headaches, dizziness, nausea, weakness, confusion or chest pai...n if inhaled. Symptoms can be mistaken for a flu-like illness. Very high levels of carbon monoxide can be fatal. If carbon monoxide poisoning is suspected, turn off all gas appliances and fans, open windows and doors, leave the property and seek medical advice. 07.01.2022 The District 12 Vegetation Management Team and Mitchell Shire Council began works along the Dabyminga Creek in Reedy Creek this week. The work involves using a vegetation mulcher to remove an abundance of dead Blackberry and other fuels along the creek edge. This should reduce the overall fuel hazard risk from Extreme levels down to Low. Check out the CFA District 12 video for more information. Strath Reedy Creek Cfa Central Land Clearing

05.01.2022 An important message from CFA District 12 if you were planning on burning off this weekend before the fire danger period officially starts on 7 December.

04.01.2022 Did you remember to change your clocks? Don’t forget to check your smoke alarm too.
