08.01.2022 Dear Mitchelton Parents I wish to update you on a few things before school resumes this Wednesday the 27th of January. Firstly our new building, G Block, is almost finished. We are awaiting furniture and anticipate that the two classes assigned to this block, 1A and 1B, will be fully moved in by Friday.... In the meantime I would ask parents of Ms Nicoll’s class, 1A, to drop off at the library on Wednesday. For parents of Ms Jameson's class, 1B, you will be able to drop off at the existing 1B classroom at the end of A Block. All books and equipment for both classes will be moved once furniture has arrived. With regard to accessing the school, the Turnbull Street gate adjacent to the high school will be unavailable this week. This is to allow the removal of fencing and building materials from the site. Families will need to use Mimosa Street and Glen Retreat Road as entry/exit points. I apologise for the inconvenience and assure you that every endeavour has been made to have the building works finalised before the start of school. The area looks fantastic and it will make a wonderful learning space for our students. I look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday and I am sure that 2021 will be a magnificent year. Yours in education Chris Hart Principal
