13.01.2022 Mitchie Dance Club are so excited to release the full video of their Harley Quinn and the Joker dance collaboration. The Harley Quinn and Joker story line began when Dr Harleen Quinzel was a lead psychiatrist at a mental institute, falling quickly and madly in love with the Joker after newly treating him. Her whole life had changed and she swiftly became Harley, the Jokers Queen. This video is full of drama and expression, and a clever production by the dance students, Ms Burn and Ms Riley.
13.01.2022 The Mitchie Tiny Desk Concert is an initiative organised by the music teachers and production team. Each episode is supported by one of our wonderful music teachers and on this occasion, Miss Miles has been mentoring our talented Em and Jack, performing Silhouette. 12.01.2022 This past week has been NAIDOC Week. NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. On Wednesday, Uncle Corey organised a presentation and Barbecue to celebrate and acknowledge our students and NAIDOC Week. Congratulations to the students and teachers for receiving awards and thank you to our guests for supporting these wonderful celebrations. As always, a huge thank you to Corey for his dedication and support to our students.

10.01.2022 This term has been exciting for our netball club, so here is a few highlights: - The girls received a special training session run by Vicki Wilson, one of Australias most decorated and successful players, representing Australia for over 15 years. - The Spartans had the opportunity to play in a carnival and verse other northside schools, coming away with a few wins! - The girls gained quite the publicity by being featured on the cover of the Everton Echo what a great arti...cle. Well done to our Spartans for consistently showing teamwork, enthusiasm and persistence. A big thank you to Miss Arnell, Miss Perry and Larissa for their devotion to netball club and the coordination of training sessions, netball carnivals and special visits from netball royalty.

This award recognises and celebrates the exceptional teaching staff and the valuable contributions they have made in all aspects of the school community. 03.01.2022 Last Friday we celebrated World Teachers Day. The teaching staff at Mitchelton were gifted individual presents, organised by our amazing school Chaplain, Larissa. The compassion and generosity Larissa brings to the Mitchelton School community is appreciated immensely and this project wouldn’t have been possible without the help from our students.
03.01.2022 Today the Year 11 students had their final RYDA Workshop which focused on Speed, Stopping and Driver SOS. The informative demonstrations equip our young adults with tools, habits and motivations to act and stay safe on our roads, as both a driver and passenger.
03.01.2022 Week 4 recap is all about Forensics. The Forensic team from Queensland Police visited the year 12 science students to assist in their current studies. The police set up a crime scene and students were given the opportunity to label the evidence and dust for fingerprints on items using scientific equipment. Highlights of the visit were trying on protective gear used by the forensic team, watching the process of how people are arrested and the sounding of sirens.

01.01.2022 Today is a very exciting day for our Year 12 Mitchie students! As this challenging year draws to a close, the year 12 cohort officially graduate high school. The celebrations begin with the graduation ceremony for our students and parents followed by the formal. We hope our students enjoy these evenings special events and wish them all the very best in their future endeavours.

01.01.2022 The Humanities classes held a Sausage Sizzle fundraiser as part of their Business and Economics study units. The students raised $404 with all proceeds being used to adopt an orangutan through the Orangutan Project organisation. What a wonderful achievement for our students
