25.01.2022 The Ellis Family at Tallandoon have graciously donated their time and wood to prepare a trailer load of fire wood, one of our many auction items for next. Live and silent auction will be held at the prize presentation, Saturday 27th March 7.00 at Mitta Pub. Its wonderful to see local families assisting with the fundraising for their local volunteer Ambulance service, but we can't do this alone. We need you there on Saturday, as entrants in our fantastic and lucrative compe...tition , or at the pub on Saturday night to support our auction, and hopefully both. We are pushing towards out $5,000 goal, to provide desperately needed equipment for Mitta Ambulance, and a successful auction on Saturday night should see us reach our goal. Please sign up, donate, or come and join us at the Pub Saturday night. https://www.registernow.com.au/secure/Register.aspx?E=42540
21.01.2022 We are just about to close up sign in at the main bar at Mitta Pub. If you have already signed up and were unable to make it to registration, entry packs and brag mats will be available from the Mitta Mitta General store tomorrow from 7 am. Apologies if you missed out, but further registrations will be accepted. Many thanks to those who have registered, and supported the cause. See you out fishing tomorrow.
21.01.2022 Some of you will be wondering how we're going to determine the winner of the competitions. No one wants to be carting stinking carp around in their cars, and The Brewery certainly doesn't want a couple of hundred carp left amongst the hop vines. To make things easy, and smell free, we will be providing all entrants with a brag mat so you can measure and photograph your carp where you catch it, then present your photos to the Judge's table on Saturday night at Mitta Mitta Brewing Co. Once you have taken your photo, please dispose of your fish thoughtfully, remember that families will be up the following weekend for Labour Day, and the last thing they want to deal with is rotting carp up and down the waterways.
20.01.2022 Big thank you to Kyle and Bailea North East Rural Fencing for donating half a days bobcat work (in the Albury Wodonga Region) as another invaluable item for our silent Auction. Thank you Kyle and Bailea, and look forward to catching up with you on Saturday.
20.01.2022 Local farmer Bob Wild has offered us the use of his front end loader to dump the dead carp. Bob his located at 1445 Mitta North Rd Mitta Mitta. Please dump the carp in the bucket of the loader, and they will be buried at the Brewery to fertilise the hops. No plastic bags please.
