24.01.2022 Last day of the McGregor Summer School with Nick Plowman. Bend Blend Break. Its been a great week for learning.
23.01.2022 This is a water colour- only applied about 3 layers so far and it still has masking glue in parts of the hair. The reference is copied from a colouring- in book but I mucked up her mouth, so I'm intentionally leaving it out.
23.01.2022 'The Three 'P's is the title of the Individual Art Group's Exhibition being held at the Art Space in the Clifton Library. Photographer starring Jim Argent. Pattern Maker starring Sally Argent and Rhonda Jenner. Painter starring Rhonda Jenner, Kerry Chant, Vee Cashin, Jenny Marshall, Krissy Bange, Merlene Konz and Angie Hart. Library hours are 10- 1 and 2 -4 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.... This exhibition of art will be held till the 27th May. All works are for sale. And we will be having someone sitting the exhibition to answer any questions. See more

13.01.2022 Sketchbook time.... The model was Velvet. The colour is inspired by fellow artists. Original sketch was 5 mins. Second picture all up 30mins. Still needing to to-and-fro on the rendering and capturing a likeness of her.

12.01.2022 Day 10 Patten: when my daughter prepares her horse for the show ring they comb the hairs cross ways on the rump to give it a checkerboard pattern and shark teeth down the back of the leg and then plait the mane to give the horse a look-at-me presence. 07.01.2022 Marcus was a great model for our week of life drawing in charcoal and mixed media at the famous McGregor Summer School.
06.01.2022 Experimenting with tones and colours in water colour hmmmm - could have left a little more white on the high lights and blended the background a touch. Though if I give it a whimsical title I might just get away with it. Any Ideas?
06.01.2022 Life Drawing Monday we had the pleasure of Daniel and Sophie as wonderful models. A great opportunity to practice curves, and contour line drawing. I had attempted charcoal on toned paper, but I need to do some rendering on those pages.
