25.01.2022 Wynnum/brissie guys done good https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lIQv4oe5pz4&feature=youtu.be

23.01.2022 Adding some illumination to this Friday night

22.01.2022 Please everyone doing live feeds can ya make to hit the switch button on ya cameras. It's like the world all became left handed over night

22.01.2022 The sounds of drums and pa stacks once again fill the streets around Irish murphies Brisbane.

21.01.2022 With restrictions easing its so good to see venues opening up and some musos getting the gigs again. With that said it also means that my time with the lockdown lounge guys will start to decrease. Sooo in a bit of a last hoorah Matt and Steve, creators of the lockdown lounge, will bust out their own band "no right turn" tomorrow night at brisbanes iconic irish murphys and im going to attempt full retina destruction. The lounge and I will continue it just depends how it all wo...rks in with venues now their opening so keep an eye out. Been a blast working with these guys doing a truly live and new way of bringing you some of Brisbanes best musos into your loungerooms but now its up to you, the punter. Get out there and support the venues that bring you live music. Its a financial risk to do so, so show them you want it. Us production side of the industry will be sitting here waiting still so please please do the right thing out there, we're relying on you to let us get back in the game. See more

20.01.2022 Appreciation post time. In this Rona world I am extremely grateful to be actually working. There's one person in particular who I can blame oh I mean thank and that's the little pocket rocket Karen of MMK Music Promotions. One of the hardest working people I've seen who goes the extra mile for the scene she's so passionate about. I'd like to also thank Luke, Sean and all the crew from Woolly Mammoth Mane Stage for letting me play with their stuff. To the punters, photograph...ers, reviewers who come along and support the bands and the venues, keep it up we need you. To the musos involved in whatever show I'm doing, can't say I've met too many arseholes so thank you , my offsider Leslie for not annoying me too much and you work ethic meaning I can do less is appreciated haha .SEQ original scene is looking pretty damn healthy. Look forward to meeting more of you at future gigs. Now im going back to bed See more

20.01.2022 So gig enquiries are starting to come. Keep it up qlders we're getting there with this bitch Rona. Let's all continue to play the long game and follow the rules, they suck yes, but it's giving some light at the end of the tunnel. Be nice to the venue staff and security, its not their fault and if you see a mate being a fuckstick at a venue give him/her a tap and a gob full

18.01.2022 Bringing the eye candy to the woolly mammoth sat 8th

18.01.2022 Tonight's office

17.01.2022 Had a ball running lights for MMK Music Promotions at Woolly Mammoth Mane Stage on Saturday night. Waiting on some pics but here is a tasty treat for your eyeballs until then

17.01.2022 This is the last song I run through the pa before powering down every gig. This sums up the break we are going through just nicely I reckon. Live music will be back and it will kick arse bigger and better than before https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=scsJZ67ssDY

17.01.2022 Damn i miss the excitement right before a band takes the stage. The weight of expectation that you have the control of how the band and patrons night will go is like a drug that if you haven't done it you'll never understand. I'm in withdrawals

15.01.2022 Saddened to hear that the Prince of Wales hotel Nundah has made the decision to discontinue live music. Have only been a part of their scene for a short time but have seen and worked with some extremely talented SEQ bands and musos. Most of all saddened that the original music industry will lose the little pocket rocket Karen of MMK promotions. Week in week out she busted a gut to give bands a crack, promote bands and the venue for at times little more reward than just being apart of what she loves, original heavy music. As another staple of live music venues in Brisbane turns off the tap its an important reminder that once things get going again to support the venues that support live music.

15.01.2022 Gonna spend the day in the valley doing some illuminating procedures https://fb.me/e/1Dm2Elw6c

14.01.2022 I just wanna push a fader you Rona

13.01.2022 Happy sm58 day. (Yeah I know it's the American way of writing the date but it works for this so shut up )

13.01.2022 So channel 7 ran a segment last night on the news on people not distancing when out and they used a video of a show I was doing lighting on. Channel 7 needs to offer an apology to this venue as the video shows nothing of the actions of the patrons actually attending. I can honestly say I was proud of the people there for obeying the rules. Channel 7 just found any video they could showing a live show happening to justify whatever point they wanted to push. This is lazy bullshit journalism and actions like that only push already struggling venues who are doing their best, to panic further about being able to continue trading with the fear of severe penalties. Lift ya game media

12.01.2022 Something is in the pipe line oooo

11.01.2022 Dear Ministers, My name is Dee Dimmick and I am the owner operator of All Access Crewing Pty Ltd established in 1995 as a provider of skilled live production pe...rsonnel in the events and music industry. We usually supply nationally and internationally, production personnel and our team is recognised worldwide amongst our peers. As of today, there is still no road map and no plan for getting even the smallest events up and running again. Events have lead times. So unless there is action now, many types of events won’t happen this year and some types of events will not happen this summer. This will mean we will lose many of the people and businesses that are essential to making events happen. All of event businesses are in imminent danger of ceasing to exist. Their income has not been reduced by 30, 60, or 80 percent, it is by 100%. We need the State government support. Our business alone, in Brisbane, has suffered extensively after 25 successful years of operation for all major events as the premier supplier of personnel experienced and skilled in live production. We employ up to 250 local workers on outdoor stadium events to install the staging, rigging, lighting audio and video as well as show technicians. . The situation is serious and urgent. Our industry Australia wide needs action now. Jobkeeper will discontinue in March 2021 and whilst we are grateful for the funding to retain staff, it is still merely hibernation. We are getting desperate for events and the jobs and revenue they provide. We will lose skilled and experienced workers to other industries, they will have not used their skills for over 7 months so far and will require refresher training in production and health and safety. Brisbane is full of companies and warehouses, all filled with millions of dollars of production equipment that has sat idle since March. As estimated by peak body ACETA (Australian Commercial Entertainment Technology Association), the economic activity of supplying equipment to these companies alone is worth $7 billion in Australia annually. A week ago, Tasmanian Liberal MP and Minister for Small Business, Hospitality and Events Sarah Courtney announced $2.5 million in grants SPECIFICALLY for businesses that provide AV and technical equipment, professional event organisation services, and everything else in the events sector. She said, the grants are not for funding individual events, or for those who attend or participate in events; it is about supporting the providers of critical infrastructure and services that, without which, we would not be able to run major events at all. CX Magazine Tasmania. They’ve done it, let Queensland follow, to save our music and events industry. Many thanks in advance, Dee Dimmick Managing Director All Access Crewing Pty Ltd Dip of Business; Dip of OHS;Dip LPTE;JP Qual Live Nation Aust. Rep

11.01.2022 I'm only small fry in the production world but I'd like to put out a timely reminder that there is an entire industry who have not worked since March and probably won't work again until into next year. The live events industry. The people who bust a gut to bring you concerts, community events, theatre, hell anything you go out to experience and there are thousands of people in hundreds of different chains that go into this industry. The people who build it then disappear into... the shadows for you to enjoy. In this Rona era these events aren't a reality but we have to make sure they aren't forgotten once everything else starts to normalise. Some venues are trying to rekindle some sort of live music environment and they are to be congratulated and the punters need to support them. To the punters, thank you for going to a show, paying a cover charge that really barely covers costs, playing by the rules ie sit the fuck down. This will end but in the meantime please remember that an entire industry is on its knees and the sooner we all do our bit control this bitch Rona the sooner all the legends in this industry I love will be able to dig out of this hole. #wemakeeventsaustralia See more

10.01.2022 I'm not going to express any opinion on the current problems in the world but anyone thinking of going to any marches etc over the weekend please take a minute to think about a whole industry (10s of thousands of people) that are out of work and hoping for a glimmer of hope for a return and this may squash any hope. On a positive it will be a real life experiment that gathers real data that if goes well could speed things up for recovery but please please do the right thing, the arts and entertainment industry are relying on you

10.01.2022 As we head into another weekend of silence just a reminder to keep a check on ya friends and colleagues.

06.01.2022 I'm on a few lighting and sound fb pages and they are mostly American guys where the industry went into complete lock down a few weeks ago. There are some guys on the edge. Timely reminder for everyone to keep an eye on each other. Financial issues will pale into insignificance compared to the possible mental health issues to come from our industry. Keep an eye on ya colleagues #ruok

06.01.2022 Wanted to do a shout out to Matt from the the lockdown lounge. This guy is busting an absolute nut to give musos a platform. I've been involved for a couple of weeks and have witnessed what's involved. It's a mobile rig, and its fully LIVE. You see and hear as it happens, warts and all. As with all new concepts some things are out of anyone's control ie internet, computers going on holidays 5 mins before start time. What I am seeing is some people have a sook. Oh the stream i...s late, oh the stream is glitchy. Guess what, these things happen. Neither me, the lockdown lounge boys or the musos get paid for any of it. We in fact lose money. The whole thing is for you people at home so the joy of live music can still be some sort of reality. Quit the bitchin. To all the platforms in whatever way you're doing it, keep at it. We're all trying our best to keep the industry arguably the most affected by the this covid arsehole alive so how about we support each other. To those who share, support, like, etc we thank you. See more

06.01.2022 Had to share. As an industry we'll be ok. people will be craving what we provide when things settle. Until then, adapt and survive https://www.facebook.com/groups/lightingtrainer/permalink/1271249649744137/
