18.01.2022 We are very happy to announce that Mixtape Chorus will return for Term 4! Our term will commence on Thursday 15 October from 7:30-8.30pm, and our plan is to continue for 10 weeks. We are now rehearsing in the F Block Gallery at Gorman Arts Centre. F Block is right next door to our usual Main Hall venue, in the middle of the centre. We also have access to the outdoor courtyard, which will help us maintain required physical distancing. And also, choir outside is such a vibe.... Membership You don’t need to sign up for the whole term - just come along any week that suits you. If there is bad weather and we are unable to use the courtyard, our indoor venue has a capacity of 50. Admission will be on a first come/first serve basis. We will advise members via email and social media ASAP on nights we need to use this method. Fees To cover our costs (and make sure we can continue to pay Dan!), we will charge $10 per week at the door. This will be a cashless payment, made using your credit/debit card. To save time at rehearsal, you can pay beforehand at our Square checkout and then show your receipt to a committee member when you head in. Otherwise - you can pay at the door via our Square card reader :) COVID safe measures We have prepared a COVIDSafe plan to keep you safe. This includes: - We will be taking your details at the door each week via the Check In CBR app. Please download this before rehearsal if you haven’t already! - Sheet music will no longer be provided and you will need to access it on your phone/tablet, or print it off yourself at home. - There will be no shared supper. It really goes without saying - but please don’t come to rehearsal if you are feeling unwell or if you have been to any COVID hotspots in the past fortnight. We really appreciate your patience as we work through this new way of doing Mixtape. We are so looking forward to singing with you, and sharing the joy of community again.

16.01.2022 Hooray! The weather forecast has changed in our favour, so we'll be able to have Mixtape outside again. This means you can show up and pay on the night! (But if you're doing this, please get there early to organise payment so we can start singing at 7:30pm) You can also pre-pay to save time via our Square Checkout (link in comments). 13.01.2022 THE WEEK OF RETURN HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! And aren’t we happy about it! It has certainly been a tough year so we cannot wait to be back singing with you all THIS THURSDAY 15 OCTOBER at 7:30PM. Things will look a little different on Thursday so please bear with us as we navigate the new normal. Important things you need to know: ... VENUE For safety, we will be located in the Gorman Arts Centre courtyard for rehearsals. So please bring a jacket if you think you may get chilly outside. In case of bad weather, we also have access to the F Block Gallery, right next door to our old Main Hall venue. This venue is limited to 50 people so it will be first-come, first-served on rainy nights. Singing outside will be lots of fun and *spoiler alert* we have even bought Dan his very own Madonna microphone so we will all be able to hear him loud and clear. SIGN IN You will need to download the app Check In CBR prior to Thursday night. This is how we will manage sign-in going forward and make sure we can contact trace should we ever need to. No more pens and sign in sheets for us! PAYMENT We will not be asking for term fees up front. Instead, we will charge $10 per rehearsal you attend. Sheet music will be sent out and on our socials in the coming days. We encourage you to print and bring along or to use your phone/tablet at rehearsal. NEW MEMBERS New members are welcome this term but we will not be holding a come and try evening. All attendees will be asked to check-in and to provide rehearsal fees each night they attend. COVID-SAFE MEASURES It is our shared responsibility to keep each other safe. Please be conscious to remain at a safe distance from others at all times during rehearsals and please do not come along if you are unwell. We encourage you to wear a mask if you feel comfortable doing so (and yes, you can sing in a mask!) Thank you for sticking with us as we navigate this tricky year. The weather forecast isn't looking great for Thursday, so we will likely have to deploy our wet weather option and meet in the F Block Gallery This venue is limited to 50 people, which will be on a first-come, first-served basis. To avoid disappointment, please pre-book your space by paying your $10 fee via our Square checkout as soon as possible.
