17.01.2022 Victoria Police have released an official statement on the incident on the Murray Valley Highway this morning. "Police have arrested a man following an incident in Swan Hill this morning, 17 December. The man was arrested after he failed to stop his vehicle, a white Hyundai when police attempted to intercept him on the Murray Valley Highway about 11am.... Police deployed a tyre deflation device and the vehicle came to a stop nearby. A police vehicle sustained minor damage as a result of the incident. The man remains in custody and the investigation remains ongoing."

13.01.2022 Unfortunately due to current COVID 19 escalation the Swan Hill SES have had to make the difficult decision to change the format of the New Years Day duck race. ...As we do not want to encourage crowds, the duck race will not be held on the river. The ducks will be drawn similar to a raffle and will be live streamed on our Facebook page.
