17.01.2022 Here's a little project we had completed earlier in the week in our Puritan Pine look vinyl plank. The client had requested a lighter, easy to maintain floor finish- and this was the solution. Although sanding and polishing the existing floor boards was an option, the client was concerned that the floor finish could be a little too dark for her liking. On top of that, the sanding and coating process could take days. This option was completed start to finish in less than a d...ay. The client was ecstatic with the end result.

12.01.2022 ‘ There’s always someone that will do it cheaper! ’ At mjh flooring, we see and hear this sort of thing all the time. We were called out to a job recently to perform an independent inspection on a project that was installed by just over 12 months prior- just outside of that Companies installation warranty.... The client was complaining about sink holes that were forming underneath the commercial vinyl floorcovering, and how some areas were making a crunching noise when walked across. This inspection had really taken the medal for the most ‘botched job ever seen’. The decision was made by the client to pull up the entire project, and start again. As you’ll see in this video, corners were cut by the previous company using dirt and crusher dust as a base for the floor preparation screed to save on cost, and clearly no priming agents were used to bond the floor preparation screed to the existing ceramic tiles- completely disregarding manufacturer’s specifications, and the Australian Standards / BCA. Although we had power tools on hand for the removal, we had decided to use hand tools in this video demonstration to show how poorly this preparation screed was manufactured. Enjoy the video. So if you’re shopping around for quotes (for whatever reason), the cheapest doesn’t mean the best. Do it once and do it right. Because the quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.

As you can see in our video, what we had walked into was quite a disaster zone. But with the right amount of floor preparation and attention to detail, we had completed the project leaving a flawless finish, and a surface looking like glass! ... As you could imagine, the client was ecstatic with the end result!
