22.01.2022 Title; Who’s homework is it? To force learning upon a child Is to steal the capacity To enjoy learning in no mild... Way. Children seek veracity. It’s part of our human nature. Born of curiosity and The propensity to venture Beyond the skills of tiny hands. The ascension of frustration Is a human right. Essential To our coming of age. Caution Yourself of your own prudential Good intentions parents. Homework ethics Are to be encouraged rather than fixed.
21.01.2022 Title; Ethnaethetists To those who talk of ethics in such General terms that their audience Falls asleep we have heard enough.... Today we are overwhelmed with such Immense amounts of information That ignorance is a legitimate defence. Due diligence and care is a responsibility That we can possibly no longer muster The energy to bear and hence we pass Our autonomy onto autonomous Systems that we hope have been Designed with our well being in mind. Systems that learn so fast that reason Occurs at a rate of causation we cannot Fathom. A future of accepting decisions Beyond our capacity for explaining why Or how it happened. A future beyond Due diligence and care because we can Simply no longer keep up with the way Decisions are being made and even The creators of the decision system Can’t explain the system. Intelligence Is design intertwined with usage and so Allocating blame becomes a matter of Determining whether the consequences Are the fault of the designer or the user. Creator, victim, challenger, villain, coach Or hero. We all lead with flaws. We all have An appetite for making an unethical decision Under stress, strain and social pressure. Previously we have masked our flaws by Paying attention to our good intentions And projecting our personal mistrust onto Others; companies, countries, technologies, Leaders and all new kinds of external Influences we can claim took our power Away when deep down we know that we Gave it away for personal convenience. The true cost we pay for this is cognitive And emotive dissonance. Both lacking Visible leading indicators so we wait with Knotted stomachs for the lagging results. Or we don’t; listen to your body. Trust Yourself. Be present and critical of what Is happening in each and every discussion And participate with nothing less than Your whole beautiful self. You are able to Respond and that makes you responsible.

03.01.2022 Sonnet to uncertainty Part 2 You are a human that I’d like to throw Into a pond and make swell lines of your Kindness, wisdom and courage. Let you flow;... Rippling beyond the wall, ceiling and floor Of this room. This room that I am crowded Within like a pessimist clinging to Illusions of certainty delivered By misinformed, flawed authorities who Claim that the end is nigh. Again. But you Claim nothing. Choosing instead to believe In an uncertain outcome and that, through An optimist’s lens, shows that we can weave What we want. I love our chats. Thank you sir. Tomorrow I’ll find a clearer mirror.
