05.01.2022 I thought for today's post I would share a quote. I love this quote. This is an extension from the Law of Cause and Effect or what the Bible refers to as Sowing and Reaping. It suggests through a "disciplined" effort we will not just reap what we sow but we will reap much more. In sports, called this focus of the drill....you did not do junk repetitions, you excuted with strict rules and guidelines....the same as in business when you keep the "outcome" at the forefront when... you are executing today. Everything of value requires care, attention and discipline....discipline is needed because it may be difficult. Not easy... challenging. That can only happen when we care enough to try and pay attention to the detail...the lessons. I love this quote, because it offers us so much.
11.12.2021 So chilling out in the room with the kids and thought. Good time to write a post. Now some might find what I am about to write hard to believe. What if I told you that you could look at a person and know how they were feeling. Not so far fetched... What if you could actually know what they were thinking? ... What if I told you that you could predict their future. Well you can, we start to show you these skills in our seminars. You can start this journey yourself through our Transform Your Wealth Course. https://university.mjbseminars.com.au/ When I use these skills my clients often respond as if they are some kinda magic. But anyone can learn these tools.
04.12.2021 About to run and pick up the kids from the first day back to school, then doing a little Perth staycation....a gift from our amazing real estate agent. Wanted today's post to be more directly a challenge. I challenge you to be the director of your life, and the hero of your story. To be the director, you are going to have to have a vision that is bigger than the scene, the chapter, the moment. So that you can craft each moment to get you to place you need to get to.... and d...o it in a way where you are present, engaged, and connected. To be the hero will be a little harder. It is known that for the hero to exist in a story.... there has to be some advertity (the bigger, the more hopless the better) some conflict. The hero, despite the odds overcomes it....well we cannot be the hero in real life by avoiding the conflicts, by running from adversity, or complaining about it....only be overcoming it. Also when the hero does overcome it.... they do so for the greater good. If fact, the word hero comes from the greek and latin roots Servo....which roughly means servant or to serve. I look forward to seeing your masterpiece.
27.11.2021 It’s late. Just finished a parent night at my children’s school and don’t have internet so doing this from my phone. So excuse the inevitable typos and autocorrects. One of the worst things we can do is play the What ifs. We cannot change the past. Nor should we. We cannot change consequences (the only reason you wished you’d made a different decision by the way, we cannot change events. We can change the now though. Most my life I have been a fighter. I get scared I figh...t. I get angry I fight. I can be a beast. There is nothing wrong with the beast. If you are in trouble, believe me you want the beast. Or if you want to win that little plastic trophy at the end of the year you want my beast. So I found myself aggressive, angry, sullen. inevitably when you spend time like that you face moments and consequences you hadn’t planned on facing. The beast didn’t need to show up everywhere. Nor does the comedian (another favourite of mine). So when this health challenge hit us, and the economy startled us, when the injustice and judgement started. Guess who came out. that’s right the beast, and he was fired up. Ready to wreck havoc. Then I asked myself something crazy. Something way more powerful. What if instead of the beast What if Gratitude, compassion, and love showed up. Man am I glad I made that choice.
31.10.2021 Had a pretty quiet Australia Day, some friends popped by..... and then I remembered I have to do today's post. I'll keep this short and direct. No matter what we produce in our lives, our lifestyle, or wealth, our emotions.....they are ours. I am not saying this to have a go at those who are suffering. Anyone that knows me knows that that is not what I do. What I am saying is it all takes work. So why don't we just change? Well when we do something for so long, it might fee...l easy for us to produce....but it still took effort, time, sacrifice, energy....etc. We might even get secondary benefits, or maybe we have learned to identify or even become comfortable....and it you can own that then fine. But if you have to work hard, spend energy, make effort, spend time, and sacrifice anyway....shouldn't it be on something you really want for yourself?
14.10.2021 WARNING: This post might trigger you! When I say this to people I often get attacked for saying it. I get it, because the first time someone said this to me (when I needed to hear it) I attacked them. Have I given you enough time to stop reading? First off, I hate the word trigger. It implied you are armed for pain, and just waiting for someone to come along, spring the contraption and off you go, like you are some walking, talking, land mine....I've done it too, but now I do... the work on myself when I am "Triggered".....because I realised something really important..... I AM NOT A LAND MINE FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO SET OFF. We create everything in our lives. All the results are created by us....including how you feel. It is not the events, or the circumstances, and certainly not other people. If it were then we would all be getting the same result, feeling the same way. If you look around you there is a multitude of results, perspectives, emotions.....why because people handle things differently.....they do DIFFERENT things with the same circumstance, person, situation, event.... If you are pissed off that takes effort, you have to do certain things. Same with depression. You have to focus on certain things, and create certain meanings, and physically you have to do certain things.....like depression requires low blood sugar. It is important to remember that we are somatic creatures, our mind and body are linked, so it is not just our minds that have to change, and not just our bodies.....we have to work on both. Whatever you create takes effort, it takes energy, and will have a very specific result. So the next time you feel "Triggered" maybe instead spend that energy and effort working on the real source....YOU.
