25.01.2022 I hope everyone is having a great start to 2021 so far I'll hopefully have my welder set up shortly so I can FINALLY start making some more art pieces.. I have so many great ideas and some that are really outside the box. I'm going to have another competition now, but this one has a twist.. ... I'm participating in a fund raiser where I'll be walking 96 k's in March to help our defence personnel veterans receive the much needed help for their Ptsd ( Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). I have personally lost a really close friend to suicide from his ptsd, so this fund raiser means alot to me. If you can afford to donate, even just a small amount please do so. If you have donated comment " donated and what art piece you are wanting to win " either the snail or the wild pig lamp and I'll randomly choose the lucky winner on the 28th of February. https://fundraise.soldieron.org.au/fund/matthewmohr/marchon

23.01.2022 This has to be my one of my favorite fire pits that I've made so far, I made it for Matt Heilig at Go Turf. It definitely took abit of mucking around but it turned out pretty good It's made from old railway sleeper plates

21.01.2022 I got some time to finish off these two pieces today I'm quite happy with the way they turned out. They are transmission towers just under 1 meter high and they spand just on 5 meters apart. I've used LED lights to simulate the powerlines. I want to make a few more and have them linked together down my driveway. Let me know your thoughts

19.01.2022 Well I've finally managed to find a new place to move to, it's been so hard to find a new rental property atm. Unfortunately this place hasn't got a shed and isn't in the Glass House area . But I will definitely find a way to keep on creating my art pieces as I really enjoy making them.... I'll hopefully be all settled in really soon and start creating again. I have so many great ideas and i can't wait to start . Thank you so much to all the people who have contacted me to see if i was okay they were concerned because I haven't made anything for a while. It's great to see so much love especially when there is so much negative going on atm . I have just been extremely busy working, packing and searching for houses. Thank you for all the support

19.01.2022 I've just finished making one of my favorite fish, the Mangrove Jack. It's 600mm ( 60cm ) long and made from all different kinds of recycled materials. This one rotates 360 degrees aswell as the circle frame around it The lamp has a blue bulb installed which makes it look amazing, especially when then fish is moving ... This has to be one of my favorite art pieces so far. #mangrovejack #fishing #fishinglife #recycling #metalwork #art #unique #somethingdifferent #glasshousemountains #sculpture #fish

17.01.2022 It's been a while since I've had some spare time to get creative in the shed, but I managed to finish off this Anglerfish made from all kinds of recycled metals. It looks amazing at night with the shadow's from internal light, aswell as the light from above it's head. You can either have one light on or both, it looks great either way

Thank you to every single one of you for all your constant support and encouragement this year, it honestly means so much to me knowing people enjoy the creations I come up with. Things are settling down abit now so hopefully I can get back into creating some art pieces. I managed to finish off one more art piece for 2020, this guy is a snail made from aluminium, brass and steel.

12.01.2022 Another successful install at this year's Sculptures on the Edge. It's held at the beautiful Spicers Tamarind Retreat Maleny. I've taken the Raptor dinosaur, the life sized dolphin and a art piece that represents what I do ( turning unwanted rusty metals into something beautiful again ) ... There are so many amazing talented artists there this year

12.01.2022 I finished off a couple little projects this afternoon A little fish for someone's birthday present and one of my favorite dogs, a Bull Terrier made from old off cuts. Should I fill him in with nuts and bolts or leave it just a frame ?

10.01.2022 I'm finally all moved into my new house which unfortunately has no shed, But I'm sure I can still make some smaller art pieces i will find a way somehow. But amongst all the stresses of packing and moving i had something wonderful happened to me that I'd like to share with everyone. I had the pleasure of having the Assistant Commissioner and Superintendent from QFES ( Queensland fire and emergency services) personally come to my house and hand me a framed copy of a complim...ent I received for one of the rescues I was apart of. It's really rare for us to receive compliments in our job and I was honoured to have them both deliver it to me personally . Hopefully i will get stuck into making some new art pieces shortly

05.01.2022 I wanted to complete this beautiful dolphin months ago, but life being so crazy I never managed to get the time to complete it. There was alot of hours sanding back that timber slab and varnishing it aswell as the hours to make the dolphin . It measures 1220mm high 1500mm long ... 1100mm wide It also has waterproof multi coloured LEDs lights that look amazing at night, with a little breeze it will rock back and forth
