22.01.2022 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) is coming along. Im calling this the "Lite" version as this is ready for a work event where Ill be sitting down alot, so no pack, canteen or anything that will prohibit sitting. 18.01.2022 So not been doing much cosplay with the whole pandemic thing, but this is Great... DEADSIDE on early access on Steam. Beats the crap out of DayZ and doesnt even have zombies! Much better shooter mechanics with a complete focus on survival combat, fast to get into the action without the need to eat every 5 min like DZ. If anyone wants to join me shoot me a comment. Best $29 Ive spent in ages.

14.01.2022 My Wasteland rifle. Its a toy K98 bolt action, weathered and wrapped in a bandage that was stained with Black Tea and secured with wire then weathered and dry brushed over the top.

09.01.2022 Time to start a new project. I liked the look of these 3d printed stock and grip kits as soon as I saw them. They give a more interesting look to the venerable M4 platform. Havent decided wether to mod a Taidi toy or a gelblaster yet. I may do a Taidi toy as a test bed first. The stock kits are available from ehobbyasia.com in 3 colours.
08.01.2022 So not cosplay related but I thought Id post something abit different, a game review, or atleast part of one. Elex. My 1st 7hrs play. If you want an RPG with a challenge, THIS is it! Made but the german Piranha Games, the guys who did the Gothic and Risen series. Fallout 4 was good and pretty but this game will punish you for making poor choices. Thankfully it auto saves every 3 mins (changeable). I died 6 times just fighting my 1st enemy which was a large turkey type thin...g . Unlike Fallout, Elex enemies spawn randomly without leveling based on your character so its very easy to run across a much higher opponent that you cant handle. Also groups are much harder to deal with. While leveling up with xp is straight forward, learning new skills is dependant on meeting someone that can teach you. Then you need the base attributes to be able to learn the desired skills. This makes character development slow but makes you think about what direction you want to go in early on. There are ALOT of conversations to be had. Over 300,000 spoken words of dialogue in the game. (FO4 has over 110k spoken lines) In some cases you need to choose your words wisely as some conversation lines can leed to things you cant get out of easily. Weapons.. easy to come by but not always useable due to the requirements needed. IE you find a plasma rifle early on but cant use it due to not having the requirements so you are generally stuck to malee weapons untill you can put some significant points into your skills. Thankfully quests can be completed as you like. Sometimes running and using stealth are easier than getting into a fight. This is made easier by using your jetpack (found early on). This game makes you feel like your just a mere mortal, just seeing a large enemy can make you think twice about going a certain way or change how you intended to do something. The game world is completely open, you can go anywhere... IF you have the sklill and gear. While Elex doesnt look as good as fallout or have as fluid animations it more than makes up for it in complexity. 04.01.2022 So today I finally bit the bullet and decided on my next military cosplay. With COD WW2 coming end of the year and my general interest in the European campaign in general Ive made the initial purchase for my 101st Airborne Division, 506th Parachute Infantry regiment (PIR). Yes, the Band of Brothers guys. There are so many different versions and qualities of gear out there Ive gone with the best compromise of quality and price from www.atthefront.com Hopefully the base gear arrives in a couple of weeks and Ill post a reveal on it then.
01.01.2022 Just a short update on unrelated items. My Para Jump boots arrived last week asI continue building on my 101st Airborne Division cosplay and had my SCAR arrive this week (non standard accessories) Have been breaking the boots in all last week so they are not so stiff. The SCAR is really excellent quality and true 1/1 scale. A huge improvement over the old 2015 version. Keep following I have a COD WW2 competition coming

01.01.2022 Hey friends, below is a project Ive been working on for a good few months now, still a WIP but getting to the point where Im comfortable to show it off. This is my Russian Federation "Ratnik (Warrior) kit. Based off of the current modernization program of the Russian Army circa 2014 to present. The rifle is an Alpha King AK74MS gel blaster. While the majority of the kit is from Grey Shop in Russia. Still got gloves, knee/elbow pads and afew pouches to add. As gear goes its a very comfortable system and great reversible digi cam patteren that works well in the Australian climate.
