11.01.2022 Here are two examples of foot pressure plates I use in practise. Image 1: This is a great example of what your feet and pressure should look like! Very even weight distribution, great balance and activation of the big toe and four little toes. Overall this person has great foot health and is always working on strengthening their body and working on good postural habits. Image 2: Unfortunately this is a more common representation of how many people present in clinic every da...y. This foot has a build up of red pressures in the heels or ball of the foot. The little toes are used to help stabilise the body weight above and in this image you can see that majority of the toes aren’t used to help them stand. Our foot pressure is a great example of where our body loads above and this is very often because of our postural habits. But best news is once we can see these images we can work on key elements of the foot and body that may need adjustments and exercise! (All testing performed in clinic barefoot in a single leg stance to replicate patient stabilising in a single leg stance)
