These lovely gents worked at the Farleigh Mill during their careers and since their retirement they all make the effort to catch up for regular coffees. At each catch up they each make a small donation and at the end of the year they choose a special project to support. This year they're contributing to the Ronald McDonald Family Room Project!... 08.01.2022 From today, children will be transported to a place of wonder when they attend the Mackay Base Hospital children's unit. Local artist Catherine Dowden has re-created an oceanic wonderland on the walls of the unit's treatment room. The hand-painted mural is filled with life-like sailing boats, penguins, seagulls, polar bears and a multitude of other sea-life, which will provide our youngest patients with a welcome distraction while undergoing treatment. A huge thanks to Bunnings Warehouse Australia (Paget) for generously supporting this project and Cath for sharing your talents with us!

06.01.2022 Today we bid a fond farewell to our friends Nick and Alison from Nick's IGA West Mackay as they prepare to hand over the store to new owners. Nick and Ali are long-term supporters of the Foundation and have made significant donations to many departments within Mackay Base Hospital. 02.01.2022 The Information Desk at Mackay Base Hospital were presented with three brand new wheelchairs, thanks to the hard work and generosity of QCWA Mackay Branch. The new chairs complete the fleet of complimentary wheelchairs available to help transport patients and visitors around the hospital. Extra wheelchairs really make a difference and they will be used every day.
