20.01.2022 SAGGED CEILINGS A 6 metre sheet of plasterboard weighs 55-67kg. A standard double garage ceiling can easily weigh in excess of 350kg. Those sagged ceilings will cause major damage and can be a serious liabilty if they are to collapse. See the photo for what might be happening to that neglected ceiling of yours. We took this photo of a double garage ceiling that had sagged and the previous owner failed to take care of it. The glue and screws had completely failed and this c...eiling was a ticking time bomb. The only thing holding this ceiling up was a few lengths of cornice and a couple of garage roller door brackets. Thankfully, ML Plaster Linings was able to fix this ceiling for the new owners and they were left with the peace of mind that their garage was now safe to enter and they had a brand new looking ceiling!
