10.01.2022 Hi all. It’s been a long wait, however we can finally confirm that the Little Aths season will commence on Saturday 14th November. Registrations are now open, registration renewal emails have been sent for 2019/20 members and new members are welcome to join via our website link https://www.morningtonlittleaths.org/register-1. 03.01.2022 We held a committee meeting tonight to discuss the upcoming season. We are just waiting to be advised the final COVID-safe protocols that will enable us to get underway. Hoping that we will be able to open registrations in the coming days, with our target start date of either the 7th or 14th November. Whilst we are starting much later than normal, we are planning to run the season through to as close to the end of March as possible, so we should be able to have a very similar... number of competition weeks as normal. To recognise the disruption we have reduced our registration fee to $150 per athlete, with further discounts for multiple registration families. As is the case with most things at the moment, Little Aths will initially look and feel a bit different due to COVID, however we have been working very hard to make sure that we can provide an enjoyable experience for all over the first few weeks. It is likely that in order to manage numbers we will have to split sessions on a Saturday, such as older age groups first, followed by the younger age groups. Your support and understanding during this period will be greatly appreciated. We look forward to further restrictions being eased in the coming weeks that will enable us to get back to normal (whatever that may mean now). We will text all members from last year over the next day or two to gauge an indication of likely returning members, which will assist in preparing for our first competition day. As soon as we have specific details to enable us to return to competition we will let everyone know. Please keep an eye out for further updates on both our Facebook page and our website. 02.01.2022 This Saturday we kick off our season with our first competition meeting. We will be producing a weekly blog which we will send out before each competition. This week’s Blog ‘Welcome to our season launch’ below. https://www.morningtonlittleaths.org/blog If you haven’t registered yet please do so at https://www.morningtonlittleaths.org/register-1. Whether you are a first timer or a returning member, all details can be found here.... We are still in the early stages of freedom from lockdown so there will some initial changes to the running of the event. How long this will last is yet to be determined. We will also be at the track from 6pm to 7:30pm on Friday 13th November for any members who have any questions, for any uniform purchases and for Team Managers to be appraised of what to expect. We have put together a basic duty roster to hopefully assist in setting up and packing up. This will be modified over the season to maintain a fair distribution. This week for setting up we would ask for parents with surnames starting A through to De. Pack-up will be surnames starting with Li through to P. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday. Thank-you.
