05.01.2022 Some shots from Wanganui boxing day

05.01.2022 We had a brilliant weekend in Collie over easter for the Collie TT. Gary and Paul practiced on Saturday in the rain and both did a reasonable job considering the conditions. Sunday woke up to a glorious clear blue sky and thought shit yeah its gonna be on. Took Paul out for qualifying and first race get him use to a bit of pace. He did a respectable job although after looking at some photos wondered why he was in some peculiar positions on bike. Race 2 and 3 Gary jumped bac...k in chair and away we went. Had won race 1 by 7 seconds so decided to handicap ourselves by 7 seconds for both 2 and 3. Got pipped on line by 8/1000th second . Race 3 started 7 seconds after they left the line but closer to the start line and managed to get past everyone bar Mark Ackerman by lap 3. Set off after Mark and pulled off a big under brakes pass going into turn 4 and then went on to win the Collie TT for 2016. Had a blast. See more
