25.01.2022 Action shot from the workplace presentation I gave this week for WayAhead - Mental Health Association NSW employees. Over five presentations I am looking to help the attendee's take control of their finances & set a game plan that will help them achieve their financial goals. Top three takeaway's from session one were... 1. Focus on what you can control - because there is a lot of things in personal finance that you can't control. 2. Know your numbers - make sure you know what comes in, what goes out and what is left over each month. Because you can't move forward financially without doing this. 3. It's all about goals! To achieve financial success you need to work out what you want, when you want it and how much it is going to cost. Because then you can start working out how much you need to be saving or investing each month to make them happen.

21.01.2022 Weekly food prep done! It’s time to get my health back on track in 2019. Getting results with your health is not much different to getting results with your finances. You need a goal, a plan to follow and then you need to put in place the habits that will allow you to achieve your goal. ... There isn’t one big step or move that makes you successful financially. It’s all the small things done day in and day out that will lead to your success - like preparing you food for the week in advance.

20.01.2022 Session 2 - workplace finance presentation for WayAhead - Mental Health Association NSW. All about ' the psychology of money'. Rolled out one of my all time favourite quotes: "Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out"

20.01.2022 Why would you pay money for personal insurance? This is the question I get asked sometimes. Today is another one of the days I have had since becoming an adviser. That provides me with the stories to answer that question. I was able to call a client and tell him that his $100,000 insurance claim had been approved and would be paid into his account by the end of next week. ... The funds will help with his medical expenses to recover from his illness. As well as ensuring his family doesn’t have to worry about money while he recovers from his illness. That is the reason you should consider paying money for personal insurance. Because sometimes bad stuff happens and you want to make sure you and your family are protected financially.

01.01.2022 This is an interview I recently completed with the WayAhead - Mental Health Association NSW. About the benefits to your mental wellbeing of being in control of your finances. In the article it outlines how the process of building a good financial foundation is 'simple but not easy'. Everyone knows what they should be doing to achieve financial success. But when life, work and everything else gets in the way it can be hard to stay the course. With the end of 2018 fast approaching. Its a good time to take stock of where you are at financially, review the progress you have made in 2018 and start thinking about what you want to happen in 2019 (scary i know).
