24.01.2022 Enjoy the article: SWSLHD first Health and Arts exhibition helps heal mind, body and soul in Liverpool Hospital’s Mental Health facility. In a ground-breaking exhibition at Liverpool Hospital, our resident Health and Arts Coordinator Ms Miriam Cabello curates artwork to bring the healing power of art within the walls of the Mental Health Unit.... By bringing the visual arts into the hospital it has created an extraordinary environment and has transformed the experience of countless patients, visitors and staff (Dallas Rae, SWSLHD Mental Health). The Winter 2020 Collection titled Local Flora and Fauna is the first curated instalment of a 12-month pilot wellbeing exhibition program. It features 21 artworks from six culturally diverse local artists. It is revitalising 22 meters of walls in the Mental Health ambulatory care waiting room, and corridors that were once considered "dull, drab, and depressing".
