25.01.2022 RUNNERS: switching from rearfoot striking to forefoot striking does not reduce the injury risk or improve running economy. Although forefoot strikers have reduce knee loads, the load on the calf and achilles is increased, therefore runners should be cautious of overtraining in order to prevent calf strains or achilles tendinopathy. Runners should consider adding heavy lower limb strength training 2-3 days per week using standard strength training guidelines: 2-4 sets, 8-12RM per exercise.

20.01.2022 Wait for the dog’s entrance Day 2: I’ve been nominated to do the 25 push-ups for 25 days challenge to raise awareness for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), anxiety and depression that drive people to commit suicide. I nominate Lee McDonald because you’re a lazy shit and you need to be doing push ups as part of your post op shoulder rehab anyway! Enjoy. ... The rules are simple: *Once you are nominated your 25 days starts the following day. *Everyday you record yourself doing 25 push-ups even if you have to drop to your knees to get 25 *Every day you must nominate a different person. What are the stats? Suicide remains the leading cause of death for Australians aged between 15 and 44. In 2018, Australia recorded a total of 3,046 deaths by suicide. Sadly, for every death by suicide, it is estimated that as many as 30 people attempt to end their lives Let's make sure that everyone knows how important mental wellbeing is and if you need to reach out know you are not alone and we are here for you. 13.01.2022 100 SWINGS A DAY . Day 11: and it was a shit day at work, a day of feeling shit, and a day of feeling sorry for myself and thinking I cant be arsed with anyth...ing. . Days like this give you THREE options. . 1: Give In 2: Give Up 3. Give it EVERYTHING. . I went for option 3... and thought fuck it, fuck you, and fuck that feeling sorry for myself shit . Told myself that once I start swinging it will be alright . And guess what 10 swings in BOOM the juices got going and I felt embarrassed of ever doubting myself and so I added 100 squats and push ups into the swings! . Days like this do make you realise without the lows you cant appreciate the highs . 10.01.2022 You know what really pisses me off? Patients cancelling their Monday appt on a Sunday when I have no opportunity to fill their spot, all because it is no longer convenient. The bullshit excuses I hear are pathetic and it disgusts me that people are using the covid situation to their advantage. You can’t have symptoms the day before your appt, cancel, then NOT GET TESTED. As far as I’m concerned, that is a late cancellation! You’re either f@$!ing sick or you’re not. A slight smokers cough or feeling a bit unwell or the kids have an appt doesn’t cut it. Seriously guys - always on a Sunday, it’s a joke! These appt reminders I send out are not your ‘final chance to cancel’. I’m trying to run a business here and support my family. If you make an appt then stick to it, or find another physio!!!!!!!

08.01.2022 My new website is almost ready. Just saw the proof today and hoping to go live tomorrow or early next week. Looks bloody fantastic if I may say so myself. Website comes with the feature of online bookings so you can pick your preferred appointment time without having to call us, plus lots of info on different conditions that I treat and how physio/EP can help in general. I also wrote all of the pages and I didn’t plagiarise ...too much.
