01.01.2022 My name is Mofizul Islam, I live in Truganina with my wife and 3 children and I am a candidate in Harrison Ward for the upcoming Wyndham City Council elections.... If elected I will be dedicated to improving services to ratepayers in Harrison Ward and uphold my responsibility with dignity and integrity. My main goal if I am elected is to make our community a better place for everyone. The areas I will commit to improve are: Infrastructure including parks, roads and footpaths Sustainable waste management including better community education on recycling. Leisure and Community Centres including better access to community services Value for service from your council rates I will also advocate for improvements to Aged Care and Child Care facilities. I will advocate to secure additional funding for beautification of public spaces and community facilities to encourage Wyndham residents to lead an active outdoor lifestyle. I want to ensure Wyndham’s water ways and streets are clean and enjoyable places for all community members. I believe together we can continue to make Wyndham a better place to live. I will work closely with both State and Federal governments to secure the funding needed to provide the infrastructure and development our growing community requires for the future. We have faced many challenges and difficulties during this current pandemic, and I will work tirelessly to secure a future jobs plan to support residents and businesses within the Wyndham community. I believe that I am the perfect candidate for Harrison Ward as I have the dedication, dignity and integrity needed to make sure that council remains accountable to ratepayers.
