02.01.2022 Dear Friends & Family, Our friend one among us within Indian / Tamil community is battling with Leukemia, a malignancy (cancer) of blood cells. The individual is currently undergoing treatment and is in urgent need of stem cell replacement to eradicate cancer cells. Stem cells can be transferred from healthy individual with a matching tissue type. The transferred new blood cells will rebuild the body’s blood and immune systems.... Australian hospitals perform tissue match with the donor list in Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry. Unfortunately, ABMDR doesn’t have large database of Indian ethnic donors. As tissue type is not the same as blood group, it’s very hard to find exact tissue match within small list of Donors. We have organized a targeted campaign in conjunction with ABMDR to collect blood sample(5ml) from people of Indian ethnicity to find a tissue match for this individual. We kindly request you to participate in the campaign and provide your sample for this test. Be a Hero Be a Match. Venue: Wyndham community centre. 55-57 kookaburra Ave, Werribee, Vic 3030 Date: Nov 27 2018 Time: 4PM - 8PM Note: This individual was actively involved in our farmer’s support fundraising activities and other volunteering works
