25.01.2022 Running to the end of the week be like ....

24.01.2022 What to look for in a newborn photographer Part 3 - WHAT PRODUCTS DO THEY HAVE AVAILABLE I hear a lot of clients wanting only digital images. We understand this is a digital age. Everything is on our phones. But . A lot of people are too busy and never get around to getting those prints done (and if they do, they go to Kmart or other awful labs and end up with awful results).... Do you remember the photos hanging on the wall in your parents house when you were little? Do you remember thumbing through photo albums reminiscing (and even laughing at your style and outfits) of you as a child, or even your parents before you were born. The current generation of kids will never know this joy! The other big problem with digital images is that technology fails. I know I lost the newborn photos I took of my 2nd child because my hard drive failed. I can never get them back! You hear people making fire plans what they would grab if they had to evacuate because a fire was on its way. Most people would grab photo albums. Does that tell you something about how important printed photos are? If all you get are digital images, then I ask you what was the point of taking the time to get the photoshoot done. Please walk away with some prints. An album. Something for the wall. If you dont have something physical, did it even happen! Prints are forever. Digital is for never.

22.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to all the dads, dads-to-be, step dads, granddads, dads with heavy hearts, and the dads sadly gone. xxx

22.01.2022 We've got a newborn baby boy in the studio this morning!! All 12 days old of squishy goodness! I hope he's as sleepy as this little dude!!

21.01.2022 IT'S SPRING!!!! I love spring! The air gets warmer, the flowers come out, the perfume is amazing .... ahhhhh. What's your favourite spring flower? Personally, I love tulips, blossoms and wisteria ... oh and I can't go past the smell of jasmine and gardenia. Can you smell gardenia? Some people can't! What a shame that would be.

19.01.2022 It's warming up ... time to play! Now is a great time for some family photos on the beach, just having an amazing day out with your favourite people. It also makes a great Father's Day present for that Dad that has everything .... hint hint!

19.01.2022 Saw this on a friends page. My eldest is taller than me now, but lucky for me, he gives great, long hugs.

18.01.2022 I was talking to a lovely mum today about our kids. We were chatting about how every age is amazing, and challenging in its own way. Enjoy every age, and every stage. It can be really hard trying to control a moment, but it can be so amazing being IN a moment.... Sometimes just stop and watch what your kids are doing, and how they are figuring things out. In these fast times we can lose those moments of wonder. Take a minute today .. and just admire. Just for a minute. Is it about them learning a skill, or for older kids, realising what it is that they are into, and what it is about that thing that draws them to it. If you have grandkids, think about the parents your children are, and what they picked up from their childhood with you. Take a moment to notice. I promise it will bring a smile to your face, and maybe a tear of love to your eye.

17.01.2022 I have been reading some of the entries to our Fathers Day competition - you have to describe your favourite memory with your dad. Reading them makes me smile .... good job dads. Not one of them is about how much money they spent, it is all about simple things, playing, camping, watching, swinging, reading.

17.01.2022 POSING TIP #2 - Ladies, bend your front leg! These 2 photos were taken a minute apart. The only difference, which leg is bent. Always bend your front leg. Why?... 2 reasons. 1 - It pushes your backside back and away from the camera, making it look smaller (we all want that right!). 2 - It gives you a much slimmer line with your legs. Really simple, very effective. Knowing how to pose women in photos is really important. Everyone is photogenic when put in the correct pose. There are lots of different tricks. Have a photoshoot with us and find out some more! It will make every selfie you take from then on soooo much better!

11.01.2022 So ... who wants a cute little goat now?

11.01.2022 POSING TIP # 3 - CHINS!! There is nothing like a double chin (or triple, lets be honest) to ruin a great photo. So ... here are some things about getting rid of them that you might not know! Everyone knows you have to stick your chin out ... right? Well, yes, but that is only half of it.... What tends to happen is people stick their chin out and lift their head. BAD IDEA!! Why? Because the photo ends up being taken up your nose ... which lets be honest, isnt your best angle! So .. do the turtle! Stick your chin out but then down. (If your photographer is short, then stick it REALLY far down). Your chin is then extended AND its hiding what is still left. The thing is ... it will feel WEIRD! But thats ok. If it feels weird, it looks good. If it feels good, it looks bad. Trust me. Try it in the mirror ... youll see what I mean! And you will be saying "Turtle" from then on when you take a photo!

10.01.2022 Have a great Friday!!!

09.01.2022 Have you ever thought about turning your dog into a piece of pop art for your wall? These images work best as an acrylic and they are so fun! You can even do 4 squares together each with a different colour background!... Call us on 9386 4298 if you want to pop-ify your pooch!!
