20.01.2022 Well the wonderful run of performances is almost over. Tonight Blackadder II graces the stage for the last time. It really has been a celebration of theatre and an emergence from the virus. There are still tickets left for our final performance so if you have yet to attend you can still grab your tickets from our website. Don't be that person who in a weeks time wishes they had seen the show. The MMuDS Committee is very proud of the cast and crew of Blackadder and know this final performance will leave the audience wanting more. Isn't it great when a cunning plan comes to fruition. 16.01.2022 Changes to entry to the Performing Arts Centre For several weeks there have been ongoing road works being done in and around the Performing Arts Centre. In the last couple of days the road works now mean changes to how you access the PAC. If you are coming to the PAC tonight or Saturday nights performance you will need to enter View Street from Highett Street and to use the alternate entry into the PAC, not the main entry into the Secondary College. We apologise for any inconvenience but we were not given any warnings that these changes were going to happen during our performances. If you haven't yet grabbed your ticket don't delay as there are only two shows left. grab your tickets from www.mmus.org.au

15.01.2022 Last night we conducted our 2020 Annual General Meeting. While it was a shorter meeting than in past years it was wonderful to see an enthusiastic group of members get together. We got to hear the report of committee, elect a new committee and executive and after the formal meeting closed enjoyed a lovely dinner and each others company. 13.01.2022 Look what I found while walking in the Botanic Park. Musicians! Yes they were following the Covid rules. They were doing a rehearsal but so nice to see and hear them. Brings back memories of the time before Covid and a glimpse of things to come. More pics when I get back home.

12.01.2022 Was so nice to hear music drifting through the Botanic Park today. It reminded me how much I had missed it. 10.01.2022 Well you could not have scripted a closing night better. A large, engaged and enthusiastic audience cheered on the cast as the season of Blackadder II came to a close. This morning the cast and crew got together again to Bump Out. On behalf of everybody associated with Blackadder we would like to thank the audience for your support of the show without you we would not have a local theatre company. While it’s sad to see an empty stage we would rather think of it as a space ready for endless theatrical possibilities and new cunning plans. 08.01.2022 With another lockdown underway we know it's going to be a hard time for many and sayings like "we are all in it together" start to wear a bit thin but we have done it in the past and we can do it again. Take good care of yourself and be kind to yourself and those around you. and we will see you all on the other side.

01.01.2022 It was great tonight to finally be able to catch up for dinner with the rest of the cast of our 2021 production of BlackAdder II "The Elizabethan One." We were... meant to get together earlier but the second wave of the virus put paid to that. The good news now is that rehearsals for BlackAdder II will start in February. The cast had been doing some rehearsals via Zoom but everybody can't wait to get back into the Performing Arts Centre for rehearsals. It's going to be rolliking good fun so keep your eye out next year for tickets. This will be a show not to be missed. See more
