23.01.2022 I suffer from #parsdefect and #spondylolisthesis. Two fractures in my lumbar spine. Currently bed ridden and feeling as if my lumbar has shattered. I have been battling this for almost 8 years after an accident during a performance with the family. Things have now escalated and I am fearing the worse possible outcome.... I don’t want to lose the ability to move to dance, to spin, to box, to train, to run, to walk, and to lift weights. I am experiencing extreme, unbearable pain.. it has me pinned down with a clenched jaw that even morphine and other pain killers can’t help me. I need answers, solutions.. I need to find specialists and or a spine surgeon who is able to put things together and have me on my feet again. I want to be pain free.. I want to finally have a life where chronic pain isn’t a daily battle. I don’t do this for attention or pity. I’m just at a point in my life where I am open and able to share my struggles. My family are incredible! I feel so bad that I can’t help right now.. They are currently making sure everything runs smoothly, I have a strong support system around me.. but if you know us; you know that the 4 of us are almost always together including the dog Trying to not over think. 21.01.2022 A year after arriving in Australia as a refugee from El Salvador, escaping the civil war, my sister and I entered the system. A teacher at our school had been monitoring us for 12 months prior to this report. She had seen us with bruises and marks and could see us slowly becoming more frightened and more withdrawn. This report was written two years later. ... DO YOU SEE THIS?... This description of me has always hit me hard and it followed me through out my years in the system.. AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOUR I was so misunderstood and because I was seen as aggressive I always felt like I was treated and approached from a distance. Who was this notifier And why was it important to label me as such?? Especially after I had just been beaten up by my father. Here we have a perfect example of two children who were victims of physical, sexual and mental abuse but were responding to the trauma differently. We were both suffering here. Both of us were weak, we were broken and extremely afraid. We were both crying out for help, we just did it differently. I wish someone had seen this and responded by holding us. Contrary to what you think, I have never been strong.. I have never been aggressive - but I always have been the protector.

What Ive come to understand is this; #dancing alone is not enough for the demands of the present-day choreography, and for someone like me who is dancing almost every hour of everyday it becomes as easy as walking. Generally we think of #dancers as being #physically fit, but that couldnt be further from the truth. Today most of us in the dance field recognize that there are holes in typical dance training. If you are serious about dance and want to make a career out of it, I strongly encourage you to not be fooled by thinking that #dance is enough to keep you fit. Although it definitely has an impact, dancing alone is not going to get you where you want/need to be. (I know this from experience) I have always been taught by #mnbentertainment that I always have to be READY! mentally and physically for when an opportunity or job comes, to AVOID not feeling confident in my body or not feeling physically able (2 things I believe you should never let happen!). I have also been taught and am aware that my training starts before I enter the #dance #studio, it begins with my #eating #plan and finding myself a kick ass #PT who is focused on making me a better version of myself. Jed Riddy Fitness is the best in the personal training industry. He gets my #passion and my #career, he has listened to my needs and has had me out of my comfort zone by pushing me beyond my limits. Knowing exactly what I needed he has Combined #fitness training such as #strength and #Conditioning to compliment the #endurance I need to be at the top of what I do. The benefits of such training can help in #preventing #injury and has enhanced my #performance. 19.01.2022 WE DID THIS. In our own stride and in our own way. So happy we did it.. and we did what was best for US because we were preparing for what we could not see.. but we did it. Now look at it! #trusttheprocess ... Finally got to this see whole production on stage. Our two not only danced in it but were instrumental in making sure this show ran smoothly. Their roles: movement coach, choreographers,team leaders and back up dancers. I cant say too much about this but as parents to these two incredible human beings I can only say thank you Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for not following the trend and for staying true to yourselves, for respecting each other and the game. What I love most; These two have such a tight bond - almost twin like. I LOVE THAT! 19.01.2022 Her name is Mercedes Yvonne Quinteros She is my birth mother. ( do not tell me I look like her) This is the only photo I have of her and one that I attained after an uncle revisited an address I had sent to Him through messenger. One memory of her -... A little scar and bump on my forehead after she looped and wrapped my hair around her hand and slammed my face on a concrete floor. I feel her presence and another persons but don’t remember anything else. Back in a December 2016, Jesus, my birth father, laid dying on his death bed. And because he was kept comfortable with meds he was dropping information that he had wanted to keep from us. I now know why. The story that he liked to tell us was that she abandoned us. He came home from work one day and found us outside, Thrown out with the clothes. Maybe there’s some truth in this as it is written in court document papers and that is how he won custody. On his death bed he said - you have hair like your mother. - Your mothers family is the family of Tito Quintero’s. - Band orchestra casino is your family. - He liked to dance and that’s how he met Mercedes. - He was known to be a great dancer - My mother had stabbed him with scissors. He showed me the scars. With this information I went to Facebook and created looking for the family of Tito Quintero’s Found the band’s page and attached my page in one of their comment section. I waited to see if anyone would contact me. They did. There’s so much to tell you about this. Maybe in another post. 21st of December 2016 is when I found out that Mercedes is no longer living. She committed suicide 11 years from this date. She poisoned herself in her home. My search for her stopped here. All the what I would do when I meet her ended. The photos I am sharing with you 1 : Mercedes 2: half sister Vanessa - photo taken of her when my uncle visited the place from the papers I shared with him. She was able to recant stories. Including the one when Mercedes slammed my head. Seeing this and seeing the place of where she is sitting brought back memories. 3: I remember this. 17.01.2022 So much of our lessons and mentoring to Latrice is on display right now. 1: Commit to each step as if every move is captured in a snap shot. 2: Carry with you a strong presence especially when standing still. ... 3: hands are very important; Dont make a claw figure with your hands.. keep your body strong while your hands remain elegant. 4: and most importantly, your core must always be engaged. 14.01.2022 Before I start this new journey and begin to share about my past.. I wanted to bring to the forefront MY FAMILY. My husband Michel, our first born @_shaheemkabamba and our baby @_latricekabamba My nephew @_orlandoliscious and my sister @cila_quinteros ( not pictured ) I know for a fact that if it werent for these people, I wouldnt be here today. At the age of 14 or 15 I went head to head with the department of family services and asked that they give me and my sister a p...lace to live. No more foster homes. After many years in the system, a system that worked hard to rehabilitate my abusers but neglected to work for us, I pulled it. We had just been dumped in the early hours of the day at the building of family services with all our belongings. All placed in shopping bags. Whilst Under the care - we were at times homeless! And my brother had began to molest me and repeat the cycle of what my father had previously done to me. We were disposable. MORE ON THIS LATER. It was a spiritual and conscious decision on my part to change my surroundings and my life around to giving myself an opportunity to live my best life. I met michel not long after that. Theres no unit and bond stronger than ours. We dont have many people in our corner, including family and few people have come hard to break and destroy it. Are you exhausted yet?? YOU CANT DESTROY OR SEPERATE US. We are THAT family. Im grateful to the people I have met on my journey. One person comes to mind right now @ashlindsayy - thank you for all that you do and for always getting me. You a real one.

I had already seen and felt the demons that existed in my family and I was terrified of the world I was in. There are layers to my life that I would like to build a platform from. ... A platform that can help victims become survivors. A safe place for victims to continue to walk toward their freedom with no judgement. Been thinking of inviting a psychiatrist who can help our cause and help us, the victims, understand our own inner turmoils and battles. For most of you, you may want to unfollow. As our focus will now be towards healing and less about entertainment. If you’re wondering why - speaking out has helped me heal. Silence keeps me trapped. With love Bessy

Id like to start this conversation by saying this: ... Us saying that #blacklivesmatter shouldnt make you uncomfortable. It shouldnt make you push the #alllivesmatter as a point of confrontation to Putting me in my place. So reflect : when you read #blacklivesmatter how does this make you feel? What are your emotions - Angry? Uncomfortable?? Or do you understand that this hash tag isnt to take away from you but to making us all equal? I also have to be very clear about this too. We have seen the all lives matter used for animals and plants. First Nations all over the world hurt when lands are brutally bombed and ripped apart. Now, I acknowledge that we have allies in this battle. Im not excluding you from this fight. But, RIGHT NOW WE ARE TALKING ABOUT HUMAN BLACK LIVES who have been SOLD, BEATEN, RAPED and as we have just seen, MURDERED. There is an institution that allows for these injustices to continue, an institution that permits for the killing of BLACK life. An institution that celebrates the killer for taking a BLACK life. This hurts us and we need help. We need voices and we need these voices to continue after these men are convicted. As much as I appreciate the ig and Facebook posts, we need to go one step further. So the next set of question should be - What are we doing after the protests? How are we organising? How are we mobilising? How do we demand for changes so that this never happens again?. Because if after all of this nothing changes then sadly and honestly speaking nothing will ever change and we are going to see ourselves here again and again.. Man, Just the thought the we could be here again breaks me.. I dont want my grandchildren experiencing the injustice, feel this outrage and suffer through the pain in the way that my two have had to endure this past week. So I ask, How can we, as HUMANS move together purposely so that BLACK lives become EQUAL to the rest of the world? These are my thoughts.

07.01.2022 I want to invite anyone who is interested in our adventures know what and where we are. @_shaheemkabamba began his work here in China over a year ago. My first born laid out the foundation for where we are today. His hard work, commitment, passion and professionalism saw him catapulted in to new heights with this new adventure. It is because of him, my son, that we have entered our next chapter of our dance career. @_latricekabamba now joins her brother and will be experie...ncing what her brother has been achieving. Flying to and from Beijing, she is now working full time as a backup dancer. Like her brother, teaching her own classes will also be included at a later stage. Straight out of high school and on to world stages!!! As for little ol me, I have been promoted and entrusted to be the manager of the new international dance team. I had over 4 months to look for my dancers. I searched the world for these dancers, those who may just be of the same kind. Hard working and passionate beings. Those who want to grow, experience and not be afraid to be pushed out of their comfort zones. After looking at over 100 of them I finalised my dancers to 4! It doesnt stop there. Im also going to be mentoring and equipping the teaching staff on how to better their teaching skills. Lastly, I will also be leading the children department and will continue to teach children who are being prepared for stage. Our king - my Rock, Michel will be running @mnb_entertainment as normal back home. We are still very passionate about our business contacts, our children and the classes that we have grown ourselves in Brisbane. Its been a hard decision - it feels like we have left one of us behind. If reading this is important to you then You know how tight my family is. I need my partner, my best friend by my side. I have, however, always believed that if you really want to stay agile, mentally and physically strong and fit, your life revolves around this decision - truth is, The progress to getting your body strong is a life time commitment that revolves around what you eat, how you train, how you rest and who you’re doing life with. This studio of ours made my 2020. It gave me a purpose.. I love seeing people seating and pushing their boundaries.
