14.01.2022 Mid North Coast Tomahawks The Mid North Coast Tomahawks were courageous in defeat against the powerful Newcastle Wildfires at Tamworth on Saturday. With a glut ...of possession the Newcastle team were able to put on 5 tries against the North Coast girls but the defensive effort of the Tomahawks was simply outstanding. Backrowers Shikira Porter and Madeline Major were tireless in defence and made the very experience Hunter girls work for every point. Holding the Wildfires to 19-0 in the first half with less than 20% of possession was an outstanding effort. The forwards were committed in defence and Emily Freeman and Jayne Macklin continually frustrated the Novocastrians. Mid North Coast opened the scoring in the 2nd half with a brilliant try to the Pirates Emily Freeman, converted by Teleah Waitoa. Hunter were able to score 2 more tries before Gloucester back Kayla Jory scored a brilliant try to make the final score 43 -12 with Hunter progressing to the finals against Central West. The Tomahawks are on the field again tomorrow morning fighting out for 3rd spot in the Country Championships. An outstanding performance today. Well done girls. See more

08.01.2022 The MNC Tomahawks recorded a 12 -5 win over Central North in the Country Champs. In the consolation final they could not repeat their win over Central Coast yesterday, going down 31-8. All up avery successful championship for our girls. Well done.
