11.01.2022 Hi Everyone, As many of you may know The MNC Strings Alliance founded 2 orchestras in Port Macquarie, the MNC Youth Orchestra and Coastal Strings. The Coastal ...Strings programme is for beginning string players or those who are looking to join into the Youth Orchestra. It runs on a Tuesday afternoon from 4-5pm at the Mac Adams Centre during the school term. Over the past few months we have been working on a selection of pieces and a few members of the group have also been learning to conduct, so we would like to invite you to participate in our strings workshop. It is open to all strings players from grade 1 and up. We would especially appreciate the members of the Youth Orchestra to come along and help out our younger players. It’s a great chance to renew friendships from Youth Orchestra after our Covid-interrupted year! We also have a guest conductor Victoria, who has been part of some of our camps in the past, who will be joining us for the day. It will be held at the CWA Hall in Port Macquarie from 2.00-5:30 pm on Sunday the 6th of December. It is a $20 registration fee (current members of coastal strings are exempt).
