23.01.2022 #NVW Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who do so much to help the national network of MND Associations and people around Australia affected by MND! Every state offers different volunteering opportunities, so if you're interested in getting involved, reach out to your state's MND Association to learn more.

22.01.2022 #Research opportunity: If you are living with MND, or are a family member or someone with MND, and have been offered genetic testing for MND genes, researchers at University of Technology Sydney would like to interview you to hear your experience and suggestions. Read more information: https://redcap.link/qs0liv24 or contact Ashley Crook at [email protected] This research will help scientists to better understand how genetic testing is provided for people with MND, and how this experience can be improved. The information will be used to create guidelines specific to genetic testing and counselling for people with MND.

15.01.2022 Today we're thinking of all the beautiful mothers living with MND, caring for someone with MND or have lost a loved one to MND. And our heart goes out to everyone who cannot be with their mother today. One day, through research, we will live in a world free from MND and there will be no more mothers lost

07.01.2022 Scottish scientists have discovered that boosting energy levels in mitochondria - the power supply to the motor neurons - could lead to new treatment pathways for MND. Although it is early days these exciting results are yet another important piece of the puzzle to finding effective treatments.

06.01.2022 Talking and planning for end of life can be upsetting and difficult. To help support discussion, we've developed a guide about end of life care and MND. The Guide provides friendly and practical information about how to plan ahead, managing emotions, dealing with MND symptoms, remaining comfortable as the disease progresses & connecting to services and support. Read more about how and when to use the Guide in our latest blog post: https://bit.ly/3papsnu... Printed copies of the Guide are available through the State MND Associations or you can download it here: https://bit.ly/3p7msbL Thank you to our friends at the MND Association in the UK for their help in developing the Guide.
