24.01.2022 When your house becomes your photoshoot location Well not my house... This is Janes house who is also the lovely woman in the photos. Jane owns a home renovations company called Distinct Renovations and needed some new personal branding photos for their website which at first we were tossing and turning over a ideal location to do the shoot...... .... Then all of a sudden, after a week or so it dawned upon us that her own house that has been renovated by herself and her team and would be perfect! Aha sometimes the answers are just right in front of you and you don't even know it. Anywho here's a few snaps from our shoot. #perthphotographer #personalbrandng #brandingphotography

24.01.2022 A good breakfast is the start of a good day. The ice trays, freezer bags and storage containers from @lunchley are honestly perfect for prepping everything you need to make up your breakfast... or any meal for that matter. It doesn’t matter if you need to keep things in the fridge or freezer or if you need to cook anything in the microwave or oven, they are so versatile they can handle it all.... I had to create a concept that shows all of @lunchley products in one scene showing what each product can be used for but at the same time tying them in with each other. To try the products for myself I actually used them for prepping my breakfast and turned it all into a flat lay What do you think?

23.01.2022 Somewhere between Heaven and Hell

21.01.2022 It was quite the long weekend but not in the way you would think... I went on a little road trip with a local indie folk musician Harry Foxton (check him out) to shoot his shows and some content for his new single releases It all started on Saturday morning with a 5 hour drive to Albany with a pit stop at a canola field to shoot some footage and photos.... Then it was a late night shooting the show. We had hardly any sleep due to the noisy room neighbours we had... So i edited into the early hours of the morning Before we knew it, it was Sunday morning and it was time to get breakfast before a 3 hour drive to "Cowtown" where we stayed in a cabin in literally the middle of nowhere to shoot more content and the music video. Not before the best $20 roast from the local RSL club We ended up shooting and editing a really really creepy promo video (by mistake) that could be turned into a movie. Then last it was up early on Monday morning with only 5-6 hours sleep to shoot the new music video before another 3 hour drive back to Perth Long hours, brain was drained, feet were cold but what a time! Can't wait to share some of the journey.

I had the pleasure of shooting some eCommerce product photos for Alit Cosmetics which included their natural oils and powders. These products were shot on a white backdrop for visual consistency for the website. Can't wait to shoot more abstract and themed photos of the oils and powders

Being different applies to everything about what you do including your photo content you use to brand and market yourself.... Adding reflections to your photos or reflection photographs are great for creating texture, atmosphere and moods within your images. Using everything from wet, damp puddles, glass and windows like i used here with the right composition can be very emotive and help connect with your audience. The city is a great place for different settings with reflective surfaces, especially on buildings and at cafes. Get out into the city and take full advantage of these surfaces for your reflection photographs for your personal brand and add that something different.

We wanted to steer away from the corporate aesthetic and go for a more relaxed/ casual/ fun feel while incorporating an urban setting, so a car park rooftop was naturally the location of choice while Nat brought out his personality. The content we created has and continues to be used across all of Nats social media and marketing materials which has reaped him the benefits of a positive ROI on his brands growth!

11.01.2022 4 bottles, 4 different scents, 4 different flavours. When i got approached to shoot these awesome cuticle oil bottles i got asked to incorporate the 4 different flavours of bubblegum, fruity, caramel and candy into the product shots to not only differentiate each flavoured scent but to add some character to them as well. My approach was going to be something simple yet effective to not over power the cuticle oil bottles but to compliment them which i believe is very important... when it comes to product photography. Here are some of the results

And to help give a warm glow to these products from Techno Tan I utilised a large amount of window light which side lit my work area with the help of a reflector on the opposing side to help fill the over shadowed areas with some soft light. This lighting setup i used along with the editing process in mind ensured that this batch of content was on brand for Techno Tans Instagram feed and marketing campaign. ... If you're in need of some skin tanning products these are for you!

09.01.2022 Sometimes all you need is to be lost in a field of yellow with your guitar. A few weeks ago I went on a road trip to Albany and Margaret River to shoot some shows for local indie rock musician Harry Foxton (check him out) Before the trip, we planned what we would shoot and where we would shoot it... As I like to have some kind of blueprint of the story I want to tell and so I can gather some inspiration.... During the drive, we kept talking about how beautiful the canola fields were. Those comments lead to a story about one of his new singles "gone". We stopped the car, pulled out the acoustic and camera, and thought we would shoot some branding content for his new song. Moral of the story is sometimes it's good to not have a real plan ironed out for a photoshoot, some of the best ideas come from the moment. P.S- We didn't even end up shooting the other concept that we had originally planned.

07.01.2022 What do you get when you mix a home builder with The Great Gatsby? You get this! It was really fun and exciting to work with Grand Living on their rebranding and also the photoshoot concept to bring the rebrand to life. The main goal of the photoshoot was to be completely different to what you see most home building companies shoot and use across their website and social media which tends to be the "standard corporate look" but also staying true to the Grand Living mantra ...of "making your home grand" So to keep with the theme of "Grand Home Builder" incorporating a Great Gatsby theme made sure we achieved our goal

06.01.2022 I was watching The Pirates of the Caribbean and i'm sure you all remember Jack Sparrows... Sorry Captain Jack Sparrows famous line of "where's the rum gone" It inspired me to take a bottle of Kraken Rum and do a Pirate themed photoshoot. The main inspiration behind it is was the transportation of rum in barrels and glass bottles from back in the pirate times.... So i ended up get shots like these! #productphotography #perth
