17.01.2022 Hey Guys, Just a little story about how the last few months panned out for me. On the 22nd Feb 20 i arrived in Malaysia for a 3 month rotation, which within a week turned into a 3 month lock down. The gym was closed and i had a room that was approximately 4 x 4 meters with a bed, desk and cupboard and no i wasn't in jail haha. After a bout 2 weeks of trying to stay motivated running a lot more and conducting body weight workouts we were allowed to use the gym but had to take ...the equipment outside, i was over the moon. 2 months past and with the uncertainty of if and when i'l be coming home i had a 3 hr notice i was coming home. A day and a half later i was in Sydney and started my 14 day Quarantine. I am writing this on day 12. It has definitely been a struggle to stay motivated but each day i set little goals and worked on them. I picked a workout each day for the next and made sure i did that session no matter how i was feeling. I've run 4 km in my room with a 10 meter turn around, used my backpack as a weight filling it with everything in the mini bar haha wine bottles, beer, snacks everything i could find. I made a packt with myself before i arrived to never go a day without doing some form of exercise and some days were tougher than others especially day 10 when i was 43 minutes into the WOD "BERT" and they came to my door to do the mandatory COVID19 testing jamming a cotton bud into my mouth then straight up the snoz pretty much scratching my brain. Anyway out of all this if you stayed on to read the whole post, is no matter what curves balls your thrown always make sure you make time to do a workout and work on YOU. Whether that be for your Mental well being or to keep working towards your goals you've set for yourself. Make that 1/2 hr or an hr each day/second day and get outside or in your gym, lounge room, beach wherever and work on YOU. I get to go home in 2 days and I'm excited to bring you more workouts, fresh healthy food ideas (as i can finally get back in the kitchen) and help everyone of you in some way. NO EXCUSES. Stay fit, healthy and most of all "STAY SAFE"
