20.01.2022 WORKING FROM HOME? Here are some really helpful hints for parents/adults and for students These are 3 minutes exercise programs to improve your spinal health. Especially important for us all when we are working from home and spending lots of time on our devices sitting at desks working. Remember to get up, walk away from your devices, enjoy some sunshine and look after yourselves... 18.01.2022 OUT OF UNIFORM DAY - Thursday 22nd October 2020 has certainly been a different year for us all and looking after ourselves, our families and those we care about has been an important priority. We've continued to discuss this as we have returned to onsite learning this term and it was extremely positive to see during the period of Stage 3 COVID Restrictions that several of our students proactively took it upon themselves to raise some further awareness about our Mental Health..., the Mirboo Mulleteers. Almost half of all Australians will encounter one or more forms of mental illness in their lifetimes, and if you haven't, someone you hold dear probably has. The burden isn't one you should have to share alone, and everyone is welcome to reach out to any of our team members for a chat. The Mirboo Mulleteers created a page that links to their charity efforts, that they hope will encourage you to talk about hard topics like mental health and suicide prevention with your family and friends, so that you can create change. As a College community we feel very proud of their efforts and so we would like to continue to support a great cause. We're holding an 'Out of Uniform Day' this Thursday 22nd October where we are encouraging you to wear something that makes you feel good about yourself. Given that it is also the lead up to the AFL Grand Final, it'd be great to see some of you supporting your favourite team. All money raised on the day will go towards research in mental health and suicide prevention and will be greatly appreciated. Please bring along your gold coin donation and this will be collected during Period 1 on the day.

17.01.2022 Year 9 East Gippsland Camp On Monday 9th November 53 year 9 Community Challenge students and 6 staff headed off to Lakewood Park Camp in Forge Creek. What an amazing week was had by the staff and students!! They participated in activities such as Tube rides, Stand up Paddle boarding, Mountain biking, Bush cooking and Sailing. We also spent a day in Buchan helping with Bushfire recovery projects which was very rewarding. We all arrived back at MNSC a little bit tired and weary on Friday 13th.

16.01.2022 MNSC SUPPORTS YOU We are so proud of our students the Mirboo Mulleteers - who are raising awareness and fund raising for research in mental health and suicide prevention. 10.01.2022 UPLIFTING INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS

09.01.2022 Wellbeing a top priority at MNSC The Wellbeing team at MNSC hand delivered wellbeing packs to all of our year 12 students last week. These packs included some stationery, pens donated by the Bendigo Bank and other items such as highlighters and notebooks donated by Office works, Traralgon. We included a block of chocolate, tea, stress balls, bubble blowers, a teachers quiz. A letter addressed to each student had the name of another person that they could check in with each d...ay to see how they were travelling and if they required further support and generally be a buddy. Here is how the wellbeing packs were received; After receiving my wellbeing pack I felt more motivated to continue with my studies. The quiz that was included created some positivity and something to work on in the background. I felt more supported from the school and overall am feeling a lot better about finishing school. Melissa Blackshaw The well-being pack I received from the school put a smile on my face. I felt really valued as a Mirboo North student and appreciated the effort the staff put into this project. The pack gave me some fun things to do when taking a break from studying, with the teacher's quiz being my favourite part. Abbey McColl Mrs Chandler said, it was a pleasure to drive around the countryside delivering the packages and seeing all the smiles and getting a chance to say hello to our students. While some of the roads were a challenge after the storm the previous night, I really enjoyed delivering the packages and I only got lost once!
