21.01.2022 ****** ATTENTION EVERYONE ******* To all the MNUFC Community, The MNUFC General Committee has been discussing the current impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic and it has been decided at this stage:... ***ALL TRAINING WILL BE SUSPENDED UNTIL WEDNESDAY 15th APRIL 2020*** This was not an easy decision to make and will be regularly reassessed as the situation unfolds and we will keep you all updated of any changes. As a committee we have a duty of care to our families, players, coaches, support staff and volunteers to do whatever is considered to be in their best interests and at this time of uncertainty we feel that to not gather together is the strongest choice. We will continue to work closely with the GSL and the FV in monitoring the situation and we want to thank you for your patience and understanding at this time. We are all keen to get into the 2020 Season as soon as possible and will be back as soon as we can. If you have any queries at all please don’t hesitate to contact the club via message. #westandasoneweareunited

09.01.2022 Statement from the Gippsland Soccer League: On 29 June the GSL Club Delegates decided they were prepared to fight on for a 2020 season and up until 24 hrs ago, the likelihood of our juniors commencing looked promising. Following the events of the last 24 hrs such as contact training for seniors being deferred a couple of reported Covid19 cases within our region for the first in a very long time. Clubs were starting to express their reservations and the GSL were reduced to 3 ...clubs willing to continue at a junior level. The general mood among the GSL members started to shift. Bearing all this in mind it has been decided to cancel the 2020 GSL season. The GSL would like to express their sincere thanks and acknowledge the Club Committee members and volunteers who have worked tirelessly in difficult and uncertain circumstances. COVID is not leaving us anytime soon and the new protocols will become the new norm on how we manage our clubs into the future. MNUFC will now suspend all club activities until further notice.

04.01.2022 Dear MNUFC community and members. The club is currently taking stock of 2020 and the conditions our club and community are living in. During these hard times, the club board has been in vigorous discussion about the club and its involvement in the 2020 season. ... We are currently seeking feedback from our players, parents, volunteers and families about their interest to compete in the season this year. The league is still working towards a concrete plan about what the season would look like, but we need to have an idea of our club’s concrete interest to participate this year. Please either comment or contact the club please on Facebook or email at [email protected] to register your interest to play this season. We fully understand that people will have questions and precautions about playing this year. We ask our club community to give their expressions of interest so we can gauge what level of interest our club members have in participation for the 2020 season. We also ask our club community to have faith that the club is always acting in the best interests of the club and its community members. If you’re unaware of the current procedures and regulations the club is to implement before returning to training, you can find information at https://gippsport.com.au/gippsland-sport-return-to-play/ There is currently no set plan about refunding of payments but the club is correspondence with the league about the refunds for club members who have already paid. If you have require anymore information please contact the club. The more feedback we receive, the easier it is to make decisions about the club and its involvement for the 2020 season. Thank you all very much, stay safe. We stand as one, we are united. Rocci Thomas Club President at Mirboo North United Football Club.
